Happy Pirates of the Caribbean last Chapter day Yeahhhhh the big day is here and my fellow Prince fans the great movie is here!!! Hopefully a lot of you see this movie and as a professional movie critic would love to see your compliments and complaints!! I saw it but will say nothing until the end of the year!!!! | |

I liked it. Sure, it's nowhere near as good as the first one but it is the best of the sequels. The post credits scene is kind of interesting but I'll leave it at that so as to avoid spoilers for anyone who hasn't seen it yet. But I am interested to see where they go with the next installment and I can't say that about any of the previous sequels. | |

So far behind on Pirates, only saw the 1st 2 movies. I'll wait when they sell the complete series on dvd for $20 at Walmart [Edited 5/26/17 13:45pm] |

Is this another money grab like the last one? I think I'm passing. Hopefully Johnny gets a role that shows he's still got it and makes him likeable. Not sure what kind of movie that would be, but that first pirates movie is something he needs now. Giving him room to put his own signature to it, humorous, and highly lucrative. A tall order I know. Or maybe another Secret Window, which I think k was good but not as big of a financial success, but definitely you'd know he still got it. | |

For what it's worth, it's the second best movie in the series but still not as good (nowhere near it) as the first movie. Johnny Depp is exactly as you'd expect. He plays the role to perfection, for better or worse. For me, Geoffrey Rush is, and always has been, the biggest draw the franchise has. This new movie is pretty good and if you liked the original trilogy, you'll like this too. Especially that post credit scene.  | |
