I got texted on messenger years ago at one point by somebody who remarked that I made too many "food" posts. Fast forward to the present day, same person complained that I'm making too many "music" posts

I removed EVERYONE off my FAcebook years ago--except for my daughter. I only have my personal account because I need it for my business account.

Used to have facebook a few years back until i was getting friend requests from people i don't know. Which is weird.

I have one friend who posts every meal that he eats....even if it's just a greasy fast food joint I could understand if was a nice,exotic restaurant that he doesn't usually go to,but why would anyone want their friends/families to see that they eat crappy food all the time? lol

I'm a musician, active in a culturally rich city.
For obvious reasons facebook is an excellent way to keep up and to expose my music to strangers.

Although I'm no stranger I'm a foreigner here n I've also lived in different countries.
Keeping in touch with friends and family is made much easier with the use of facebook.

Keeping in touch casually is a big plus!

Folks do get opinionated about it's use even though they might not have an account.
I suspect they might expect too much and are inevitably disappointed.

Used in the right way it can be extremely useful for some.

Lol no, he's a good friend. I know his observation didn't have malicious intent I'll only unfriend people who come across intentionally mean.

I'm on there. These days though it's almost exclusively around Prince groups, pages, acquaintances. I don't do selfies, there are no pictures of me there and never will be, I won't confirm certain information that FB keeps asking me for. I like the messenger to keep in touch with family throughout the day. There's definitely some seriously annoying stuff going on there, but I try to avoid it as best I can.

I'm on FB.

It allows me to stay "connected" to distant relatives and I've reconnected with people whom I hadn't spoken to in decades. In fact, this past weekend I had lunch with a childhood friend that I had lost touch with 20 years ago and reconnected via FB.

That's my main reason for being on there.
