Well, let me be the first to openly and humbly apologize to OP for misinterpreting their post which said, "I'm just curious," as being, well, just curious instead of understanding how deeply concerned they are over other people's facebook habits. I did not equate curiosity with caring.

I'll also humbly apologize to the person or people who are emotionally invested in whether others are not using facebook. I suppose those people could exist and so I should not have said "nobody cares." Maybe someone here does care that there are people who don't use facebook and they were just too timid to express it. You matter too, person/people concerned with others' lack of interest in facebook, and I should have known better.

To be perfectly clear, my posts were specifically in reference to the people who not only don't get the appeal of something (totally understandable) but have such strong negative opinions about things they presumably don't care about or understand as opposed to, I dunno, total indifference.

To recap: "doesn't appeal to me" = totally understandable
"Doesn't appeal to me, I don't understand it at all, but here's a tirade of strong negative opinions, anyway" = totally mockworthy, would do it again, not sorry

No idea what this whole trying to shut anybody down stuff is about. People said stuff. I said stuff back. Disagreed even. In no way was the suggestion ever made to let's not talk about it. Please, let's beat it into the ground if you want. My goodness at the drama and hyperbole. "Shut 'em down." No, it was complete mockery, not an attempt to silence anyone. Hope that helps. lol

Agreed, I never quite understood the mentality behind the "Like" button.

Yes, I use Facebook. I am friends mostly with family, friends and colleagues. And I follow my favorite celebrities. I am in several Prince groups and other groups who like the same interests as me. I am on FB when I have time. The same goes for Instagram and Twitter.
