Get Out surpasses two hundred million bucks.

Obviously the most successful black film ever. A film that is entertaining, scary but about something. The things you take from that film are legendary. I had no idea how it would end. wow.

Hard to get into all the social themes buried in there. 99 percent Rotten Tomatoes. Just one bad review. Kill that mofo.

Then you have the uproar over Dear White People. Getting one hundred on the Tomato. White right wingers are losing their minds.

All you others say Hell Yea!! woot!

I have been tracking the sales. Great accomplishment.

I hope he (Jordan)wins some type of an award this year.

Very good film making in my book.

It won't be at the Oscars neutral

Great movie though, I don't trust no old woman stirring tea in Florida, especially hot tea, we at 98 degrees lol.

i loved it myself, thought it worked as satire & commentary & as a horror/thriller. in fact, i liked it so much i went back to watch it a second time, & thought it held up perfectly. i think it's going to be a film that really warrants rewards repeated viewings, because it's fun just to observe how well it works. (though i still had to have it explained to me why it was so important to rose that chris not give his i.d. to the police. that detail completely passed me by.)

.

i'm a little surprised by its relatively low international gross, though. obviously it's a movie directed to the current state of the us in some aspects, but i thought it was so endlessly entertaining purely on its virtues as a thriller that it would have played well everywhere.

I thought it was shit. I actually started laughing when Whitford was about to start drilling into brains. It seemed like a KnP skit. Some women behind me said "kill that white bitch!". Horrible flick. It doesn't take any talent to point out the obvious.

Get Out is not considered a "Black Film" becuz 50% of the cast is White...So it is NOT the most Successful Black film ever...Movies like The Color Purple, 12yrs a Slave & The Butler are considered Black films...

The Butler is probably the most Successful Black Film in the last 10 to 20yrs....(made $100 Million in The USA and even more overseas)...

Django was a Monster Hit but the cast was also 50/50, it is not a Black film...

My money says it gets at least 2 Oscar nominations.
