I'd do it from beginning to end. It's a characterless, grainy sweetness in the mouth, I can live (and have) without. All fluff no substance.

Kale is delicious if prepared correctly. I would never eat it raw - it's really bad for you. (Binds other nutrients so you can't absorb them, depresses thyroid function - the list goes on and on.

But cooked, it can be really good. Kale chips are delicious - just don't eat too many or you'll pay the price. (They have a lot of fiber.) And I've used kale as a healthier, low-carb alternative to noodles in soups. It's especially good in a soup I make that has chicken and Spanish chorizo, seasoned with smoked paprika and saffron.

I liked it long before it was cool.

I hate the Bean Family except Green beans..I will Kill You if you serve me Pork'n Beans.....and You can have them NASTY Blackeyed peas & limas..AND......REAL Chili does NOT have Beans in it...

I'm with you on the Greens, Chance! But they must be harvested at the right time. Smaller young leaves and stems, therefore cooking takes only about 15 minutes.

And the issue with blackeyed peas is that they too are usually harvested when they turn yellow. Yeah, that's nasty. Harvest them way before that and with lots of snaps. Oooh and conch peas too! Again, lots of snaps, cook for about 15 minutes put over rice and gravy for some great hopping john.
