Maybe they didn't know Lorre is behind it?

Or maybe they are just skeptical of spinoffs, which is understandable. Not too many of 'em last very long. The only exceptions I can think of right now are The Jeffersons, Frazier, The Simpsons, Laverne & Shirley, Saved By The Bell, Mork & Mindy, Family Matters, Facts of Life and A Different World.

I forgot, who was Saved By the Bell spun off of? And Mork & Mindy?

If it has the same writing team as TBBT then I predict much hilarity.

Yeah I'll give it a try.

Maybe, or maybe some people would rather complain than be positive. Meh.

"It's Always Sunny in Philadelphai" just set some kind of record for series length. And of course there is the greatest of them all, in my humble opinion:

Me too! I didn't realize how many incredible series Chuck Lorre has created, but he's got to be up there with Norman Lear as the best there ever was in sitcoms.

Mork and Mindy from Happy Days, don't think save by the bell was though but there was a save by the bell spin off "college years"

Mork was on an episode of Happy Days in which Richie dreamed about an alien.

Saved By The Bell spun off from Good Morning, Miss Bliss.

Yes! Al Bundy is the only television character that has ever made me laugh just by looking at his face. lol

No show has ever been funnier, not even Seinfeld ... and I'm a huge Seinfeld fan.

If it has Laurie Metcalf I'll watch, but I doubt she can play his mom when he's that young.

The Big Bang Theory was renewed today for 2 more seasons meaning it will run until May 2019. There was a 2 year agreement made to maintain the 900k salaries of the original five and the 500k salaries of Bialik and Bernadette (forget her name).

What does Sheldon spends his money on??? Half rent, no car, not on clothes, just action figures.

He doesn't. Don't you remember that episode where he had a bunch of uncashed paychecks in his desk? Plus a couple 50s in Green Lantern's ass? And more cash in a can of peanut brittle with novelty snakes?

There was some episode where they showed Stuart actually, I think, eating Ramen noodles cause he had so little money!! Wow! Is that actually true??! Is that how a comicbook-shop owner lives in the US?? Seems a long length to go to, to keep your dream alive....?! (they say he's a graduate of Rhode Island School of Design too, so - he actually knows how to draw comics...!!! Cool! Are there any actual shops like THAT in the US??!! smile )

Comic book stores?? Yes many through out the US

I meant one where people who can draw, and actually MAKE comics, are running them??!!

The show makes them sound poor and struggling. They play up to that Penny and Bernadette makes more money over Leonard and Howard in sales. They don't address if they make more money then Amy though. Did you or anybody here see the unaired original pilot on you tube?? They had Leonard and Sheldon selling their sperm for money (lame, predictable, cheap jokes) thank god they re-shot the pilot.

The first impression I had of the show was that this was about some college students, but then I watched it and see they were supposed to have been working in their fields for a while and technically not at the "bottom of the barrel" in their field so it seems odd that all of them are broke like youngsters.

From what I remember it was basically the same show, except it focused on a Junior High teacher (Miss Bliss) instead of High School students (Saved By The Bell). The original actors for Zack, Belding, Lisa and Screech were in the earlier show. Slater, Kelly and Jessie were not.
