TCM has already taken a step back...

When my mother was willing to give up cable aka TCM for streaming, I knew TCM had changed. Hollywood owes this Ms. Osborne a lot of gratitude for being a champion of classic films, starting from the silent movies to the talkies.

Hearing him talk about films was like Matt Pinfield talk about music. He was one of those people who was so in his element doing what he loved when he talked about film, that you couldn't help but get drawn in.

Partly after watching Feud last night, then hearing about Robert passing, we decided to sidestep our Best Pic nom marathon*, and watch Whatever Happened To Baby Jane? instead.

*We've watched Fences, Hidden Figures, Moonlight, Arrival, Hacksaw Ridge so far, starting last week.

Agreed. A lot of their guest hosts are just crap. And the wine club? The $100/year VIP club? disbelief

I mean if he did have sex he would break every rule Jehova's have regarding premarital sex so Prince is really just friends with them all anyway.

What's up with the wine club angle? Reminds me of rent parties back in the day... though TCM "rent party" is very expensive. lol I enjoyed Rober Osborne,"The Essentials"; I was impressed with Drew Barrymore, TCM should offer Ms. Barrymore a job.

My fav was when he presented a special on James Dean's television career on the 60th aniversary of his passing.......I had no idea he did so many shows, and I found alot of them on You Tube like this one called Something For An Empty Briefcase (1953).

The Movie Channel, or Turner Classic Movies?
