Would you've preferred the original Penny character (named Katie) from Big Bang Theory?
Here's the unaired pilot, what do y'all think of the original female lead? Would she have been a better character than Penny? I kinda like her!

I don't see her, though I did fast forward thru it. Unless you mean the black lady.
I'm going to repeat what I've been saying. They have 'jobs' in their field of training (not working at Kinkos or something like that), they've earned they're phds (not interns or entry-level status) , they are mid to high range experts in their field and they're college kid broke? Something ain't adding up.
Scene Two is when she first appears, it should begin automatically right after watching scene One ... but here it is:

She's cute. Kind of psuedo-street though, but I mean it's not like that matters.
I see a lot of similarities between her and Penny, close my eyes and it almost sounds like Penny saying many of the lines.
But you're right, Katie is definitely more street tough and risque. Apparently they wanted a more wholesome character, which is why they changed it up a bit with Penny.
Maybe they should have kept Katie in the script as Penny's sister.

Well if it was a show about cute girls then I can see them having an extra girl. This is about a group of educated nerds who may have mild personality disorders so they have all the cute girls they need for each of them.
