And to feel it is soo much better,it's beautiful. In the other hand i just saw a documental in Youtube about a "shelter" somewhere in Asia; why in the world i did, it was beyond awful, sad and heartbreakin, upon watching this video for 30 or so minutes, i really wanted to die, how come to be so much misery in this world for such wonderful creatures.

I just watched a doggone movie about Richard Gere and an Akita that made me cry... WTF I don't cry at this stuff! And it wasn't even a kid's film. The movie was called Haichi: A Dog's Tale. It was based on the true story of a Japanese professor and his dog Hachiko, who waited at the train station every day for nine years for the professor to return after he died. This happened in the 1930s and there's even a statue of the dog at the train station. Here's the real Hachiko--a real tear jerker:

The statue:

So far i have seen this film like 4 times and every single time i cry like a baby, a heartbreaking story, but should watch the original japanese version,is so much better and accurate to the real story.

I will watch the original if I can find it with subtitles. At first I thought the American version was just another Richard Gere movie I hadn't seen. Even that one is done very well and with very little sentimentality. I liked the way the dog's point of view was handled. Just found the original Japanese film. Thanks for letting me know about it. Shih-tzus are supposed to be hypoallergenic for people who are allergic to dog hair. I was told this by my sister-in-law who is allergic to dogs but did well with two Shih-tzus that she received when she started making noises to my brother about wanting children... lol

Yes this is true! As far as the allergies with him, they aren't bad as they could be. He does shed a little at times, and i think that is what bothers me the most. But He does really well allergy-wise with me, but i still have little issues here and there.

if you notice, Cat-Owners tend to be on the extra-Crazy side....

Since we are making blanket statements, I say dog owners are much crazier. I don't know of any cat people who talk about their cats or consider their cats to be human beings. Dog owners think their dogs are human. Many dog owners have NEVER heard of a leash law. eek Or maybe they just choose to ignore it.

They don't see anything wrong with their dog roaming and terrorizing the neighborhood because their dog just LOOOOVES people! Every dog owner feels their dog is the friendliest dog in the world and would never heart a fly! Most of the time, I find with dog owners, when their dog hurts someone or another person's animal, the victim is always to blame. It's never THEIR dog's fault. Their dog was provoked to maul the guy who was jogging down the street, minding his own business. I like dogs well enough. I owned one for about 11 years. I'm way more of a cat person. But, I find the attitude and behavior of many dog owners crazy, ridiculous and reprehensible.

my dog:

- invades my bed when I'm the only person in the house

- insists on lying next to my butt when I'm on the couch or in the bed

- loves licking my face

- is probably more intelligent than I give her credit for

full lips, freckles, and upturned nose
