Do you ever peruse the Prince.Org Site Discussion forum? You should, it's where all the cool people hang out.

For instance, as you know I've been having problems posting pictures. I'm not the only one and on the Site Discussion forum, I learned how to fix it! Thank you, onlyNDaUsa!

So here's an AFTER/BEFORE picture. It's AFTER a year of push-ups but BEFORE the 1,000 push-ups I did Monday and it's also AFTER drinking a lot of booze that night but it's BEFORE starting my quest for six-pack abs:

AFTER/BEFORE PIC

See all that money in the tip jar? Yeah, baby! And that was from playing natch songs from people like Springsteen and Merle Haggard. Just think how full that jar will be THIS Friday, when I bust out my "All Prince, All Night" setlist!

Already done that! Halloween a few years ago. I was voted the costume contest winner but gave the prize to a girl whose costume was her sitting a box all night.

BTW, that's an insert there in the back. That's not REALLY my tookus!

Ok, so far, I'm keeping up, just completed 1,900... I had to skip one day, but I did 200 the next, 100 in the morning, 100 in the evening. Down to about 8:30 min (on good days that is... lol ). My left shoulder hurts a bit afterwards, so I'm a little concerned about that.

Hopefully just an inflammation. I noticed something like that in my right shoulder last week, when I did those 1,000 but it went away in a day. Hope yours does, too!

8:30 is excellent. I did mine every day somewhere around that time, too. But the great thing about push-ups is you can make them as hard as you want, just by shortening the rest time between sets. So simple!

Keep it up!

(That was actually a Prince mask! I think I bought it in the '90's. It was supposed to be Purple Rain Prince, I guess.)

New PR with 7:56 today! Sets were 35 - 25 - 15 - 12 - 8 - 5. Doing more repetitions at the beginning seems to work better for me.

I packed my bag yesterday, took the 15 minute walk to the gym, realized there that I did not take my sports bag THAT I HAD JUST PACKED but my other day bag, went back, took my sports bag, went back again and then fell asleep at the gym. Ok, that last part wasn't true.

I'm already 500 behind on my push-up-challenge... My personal best now is 7:50 min, but I'm not 100% sure, I'll continue. At least not everyday. I go to the gym regularly and want to do other exercices for triceps and chest. I feel the daily push-ups can be counterproductive. confused

I know what you mean. What I'd do on days I went to the gym was do the push-ups in 3 sets at home before I left, and rest so that the push-ups were more of a warm-up than an exercise. But I did that because of my resolution. If I hadn't had the resolution to do them every day, I'd probably have skipped them too.

I don't think of it as being behind because I'd beat myself up mentally for that. Just take each day as it comes, make small changes and eventually it leads to big results! You guys know hooping is my thing. This year adding small changes of 10 flights of stairs/day (not all at once) and two liters of H2O/day. Truthfully, it's been difficult to do all 3 each day but I still keep it as my goal. I'm keeping my goal weight between 117-120lbs (5'2") and looking to keep core tight and start building upper body. If I tried for something like this, well, I'd be in traction for some time!

This is going to be my year despite half off sale at the neighborhood Godiva shop, ugh!

If I tell myself I can't have a certain food--it would lead to the consumption of mass quantities of said item! Deprivation thy name is bitch. Nothing is off limits And if I'm craving it, I get it (just a smaller portion). But those cravings have subsided quite a bit. Again, I do Weight Watchers because it is free with my employer. And though I don't want to lose any more, I use it to keep good habits good, and bad habits fewer. The app has the handy little bar code reader to scan items and give a point count so I can make healthy choices. Lost 20lbs last year and that doesn't sound like much but on someone 5'7" or 5'8" its like losing 50lbs.

I have a sweet tooth too. My recent crave-buster for this is to empty out small container of Jello sugar-free dark chocolate pudding onto 3/4 cup of raspberries.

I believe this thread wil self-lock in a day or two and if so, I'll start another. But y'all need to post more pics or something, so that we get stickied again! I mean, I can't be the only one posting shirtless pics!!!

(NOTE: If I drink enough tomorrow night at the big open mic night, I might have more shirtless pics to post.)

Anyway, my quest for six-pack abs is treading water. Mainly because I haven't been to the gym regularly. I need to get a set schedule, dang it. At least I've been eating pretty well. I've given up most desserts and it shows - both in my abs and in my blood sugar.

I'd say I still have a 3 months or so until beach season but I've been to the beach the last two weekends in a row. And needed lots of sunscreen! It's February 27th and I have a mid-July tan. Global warming and all that...

I've also resumed doing 100 push-ups every day. For three reasons:

1. Irregular gym schedule (see above)
2. Last year I wasn't sick one minute of one day. This year, after not doing push-ups, I got the crud. Not good!
3. Whenever I told people I did them last year, they usually asked, "Are you still doing them? No? Why not, are you a wimp?"

OK, back to motivation. Most of us have about 90 days until bikini/thong season. No time to waste! Let's kick some major ass starting RIGHT NOW!

The thing is ....I dont have any gym pictures, and when I go to the gym I am too busy to be taking pictures. Maybe in a couple of weeks when I go in the evenings again and meet some friends there.

I have never stopped working out, and I have been feeling great lately. I train at least three times a week, sometimes more, and I make sure I get enough protein and I also use a few supplements but not that many.

Some magnesium with a teaspoon of citrullin, all dissolved in water in a huge bottle during my workouts, some whey protein right after or during my workout, and a milkprotein or rather casein protein shake right before bedtime, and maybe one right after breakfast. I also eat protein pancakes quite often....I use a mashed banana, two eggs, a little bit of vanillla flavored protein powder and no flour or baking powder, and they always turn out great.

The only thing I still need to work on is getting more sleep, which is probably one of the most important but also most neglected factors.

Yes. I know I'm lacking in all three aspects, but I KNOW that the last thing I will be missing will be enough sleep.
