My cat got ran over

So yesterday these 2 guys ran over my cat .I guess my cat fell asleep while laying on the road. His back 2 legs are broken and he can't walk at all.he has to crawl.I believe he's bleeding from his penis but he's in so much pain I cant really look between his legs without hurting him .he has been bleeding since the accident which happens at 5 pm yesterday .he's drinking water but not much and he's not eating at all.he's 6 years old. He's my favorite kitty.I'm not sure what to do cuz I don't have any transportation at the moment and I don't have the money to take him to the vet.I want him to get better but I know he is suffering.
The 2 guys who ran him over apologized and they didn't even live on the road I live on.their whole purpose of coming down here was to "shoot some deer's with their new rifle gun they just got"

also, you could try calling local veterinarians. sometimes they will perform life-saving surgery free.

I hate to say it but if he is not euthanized, he is going to suffer and pass away on his own. Consider not allowing your cats to roam. It shortens their lifespan tremendously. Omg! Such a horrible tragedy. neutral

Get offline and take that damned cat to an ER vet rather than let it suffer in pain and agony, that's inhumane of you.

He won't get better on his own. If you leave it too long that cat will die a slow death.

It's a family member!

Good luck

Take it to the vet. The longer you leave it the less chance there is of it being saved. Worry about the cost afterwards. Leaving it in pain like that is cruel.

Those two cunts that ran over it would be worse off than the cat if I had have been there.

i'd say, if you don't have transportation, call a cab. borrow money for it from a friend if
you have to. there's always a vet relatively close to where you live, always.

it's not your fault if you can't pay for expensive surgery, and no one can force you to go
for it. however, having an animal under your care does, imo, make you responsible for
their health, even if it costs you money when you don't really have it. at least if it's an
expense that's within reason.

having a vet check your cat out, take an xray and give you a diagnosis and options on
what to do, will not cost you thousands of dollars. it'll be, what, 150 max, just for an
xray and a bit of a diagnosis. your vet will then tell you what your options are. maybe
they can't save your cat at all. maybe they can and it won't be expensive at all. but you
don't know until you go there.

i understand that you might not be able to pay close to or over a thousand dollars for
surgery and vet bills, even on installments, if they can save the cat and it will come to
such costs, and that's nobody's business but yours. these things happen and these
choices are a part of having a pet.

but if your cat is hurting bad, which it is, you should consider having them put it
to sleep once you know wether the costs of surgery are too high.

what's that gonna cost? $ 50? $ 100? they're gonna let you pay that in instalments if
you don't have the money right now. no vet in their right mind is going to send you on
your way without ending the cat's suffering.

you owe your cat at least a decent death without too much pain and suffering at this
point. don't drag it out, it's already been overnight, right? imagine if that was you,
and no one was taking you to hospital?

i wish you all the best, you and your kitty, i know you must be stressed and sad right
now. you didn't ask for any of this, but it happened just the same. it's a shitty situation
to be in. i hope you'll both be ok hug

hopefully you've already taken the cat to the vet.

If the two guys had enough integrity to apologize, maybe they'll have enough to help out with the vet bills. I was in almost the same situation as you, although we found a dog that had been run over. I paid for his reconstructive surgery, rehabilitated him, and then put up posters about finding him.

The dog's owner contacted me, but when I told him how much I'd spent, he balked. We ultimately agreed that he would pay me half of what I spent, and I'd keep the dog. It meant I paid $600 for a Doberman, but I was grateful the guy paid something. Maybe these two guys will, too. Best of luck, and blessings for you!

Thank goodness! I just saw this. You must not delay. I understand you have circumstances. I would have helped right away if I'd seen this sooner. Some vets in these situations will waive the fee for euthanizing. Org note me if you need help. I could talk to the vets office and make a donation towards his care over the phone.

They put my kitty to sleep.it turns out he had a broken pelvis and they said it would cost $380 just to see what else they could do to help and they wouldn't let me pay installments they needed it all upfront. He's in a better place now.I know I did the best I could for him and I spoiled him a lot.he got to eat cat food and even human food.chicken and steak whatever I had. I cried like a bitch on the way out of the vet place.
I took him home with me and we gonna bury him tomorrow

Im so sad for you. Long distance hug!

We lost our 16 year old chihuahua this year. My kids are 20 and 18, so she was a part of their entire lives. We cried as a family and buried her in the yard. What a terrible weekend. She was special.
Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

.

Maybe the guys that ran over your cat should drive you and your cat to the vet and pay his medical bills.

.

I hope your cat makes it.
