i go the other way. given my preferences, i'd dodge the obligatory "handshake" when meeting strangers. not only do i not want to touch their hands (which mightn't've been washed after they last wiped), i don't want to share their potentially contagious flu germs they might have sneezed onto their hand moments ago.

handshakes are gross. they date back to when we wore swords and wanted to demonstrate to new acquaintances that we were unarmed and posed no threat.

the right hand was then the limb of chioce for sword use; left handed people are called 'sinister' because back then they could shake hands AND slice.

anyway, long story longer, i could totally live without all of that. i'd run away! just my twocents

It's always felt a bit odd 2 me, stiff. Also some people don't wash their hands properly (or at all).
What I really don't like tho is those guys who are over enthusiastic about the whole 'firm handshake' thing. Yeah alright mate, I get it, but did u have 2 crush my hand tho?! eek mad
