The Liberace Hologram

I don't seem to find more recent info regarding this so I'll go with what I have.

Liberace will be returning to the glitz and glamor of Las Vegas sometime this year, more than 25 years after his death.

The famed singer's homecoming to the city where he originally made a name for himself will come in the form of a cutting edge "hologram" developed by Hologram USA.

This is not the same company that brought Michael Jackson to the Billboard Music Awards last year and Tupac Shakur to Coachella in 2012 -- those were created by Pulse Evolution, formerly Digital Domain.

A rep for Hologram USA said their Liberace hologram will have a noticeable difference in the technology from those "virtual human beings" and will be 3D, looking more lifelike. What's more, the Liberace hologram will be able to actually "interact" with audience members.

Chairman of the Liberace Foundation Jonathan Warren told Forbes, those who attend the show will be able to "feel the warmth from his heart, the sparkle of his eye."

A full show is in the works, with the Liberace Foundation having donated footage and artifacts for the program, reportedly with expectations of building a touring show.

Liberace
Wladziu Valentino Liberace (commonly known as Liberace; May 16, 1919 - February 4, 1987) was an American pianist and entertainer. A child prodigy and the first generation son of working class immigrants, Liberace's career spanned four decades of concerts, recordings, television, motion pictures, and endorsements. At the height of his fame from the 1950s to the 1970s, Liberace was the highest-paid entertainer in the world, with established residencies in Las Vegas, and an international touring schedule. Liberace embraced a lifestyle of flamboyant excess both on and off stage, acquiring the sobriquet "Mr. Showmanship". Liberace was recognized during his career with two Emmy Awards, six gold albums and two stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

That's exactly what I thought when I was a kid! My grandparents were Liberace fans and we always had to watch his TV show. When I saw Trelane I said, "Now that's Liberace!" lol

This doesn't bother me. In fact I'm interested in seeing it, brings back nostalgia. Maybe because so much time has past. I see there's a long list of well known celebrities planned to hologram.

Liberace caught my attention because of UTCM reference. I see his foundation which gives musical scholarships is still running strong. Though his museum closed after 31 years, it re-opening in Vegas.

Yeah. I definitely know that feeling.
