2 more seasons and L&O:SVU will tie first runner-up with the original L&O for longest non-animated TV series in USA history.

And of course, Gunsmoke is still #1 on that list, which is amazing for a show that was cancelled 5 decades ago.

I continued watching for awhile after Meloni left, they gave Ice-T a lot more to do and it was pretty good. Now every time I tune in it's an awful reenactment of a ripped from the headlines story. Plus all those damn crossovers with Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Med mean you have to skip an episode if you don't watch the other three.

Yay, still one of my fave shows even though most of the original cast is gone. Too bad Danny Pino left. I hope Mariska and Ice-T take it to year 20.

I actually bought the series on DVD up to season 14. Been a fan of them all since the original premiered in the 90s.

So proud that my little one lyric got to do one of the final scenes with danny before he left.It was filmed at sing/sing prison.Great group of actors.

18 Seasons? is there honestly a reason for a show to last this long? the writers been running out of ideas for like a decade it's just ripped from the headlines shit now.

They really hooked me on Chicago PD with that Yates crossover, now I am obsessing over Chicago Med which is basically ER updated with an edge. I like how they crossover the doctors on PD and the cops on Med.

As long as crime exist in real life, law enforcement dramas on TV will still exist.

It´s one of the most boring crime shows on TV but I still love it .

It has Ice-T, it has Mariska Hargitay in it, it is based in NYC.

That's a problem with me. It used to be exciting. Last 2 episodes I watched were a dull reenactment of that producer's kid who killed girls because they wouldn't date him and some awful episode with a fake TMZ scandal.

I can't wait!!! Probably one of my all time favorite shows ever. That hair chart is awesome!

You kind of know what season u are watching depending on Mariska's hair style On Fridays Universal Channel (on Foxtel) they show like 4 episodes from different seasons...I found this pick from Season 4, and doesn't she look like her mom Jayne Mansfield?

Yup, it's funny how she sometimes resembles her Mom and other times more her Dad Mickey Hargitay.

Here parents were beautiful, and their house known as The Pink Palace http://www.housebeautiful...nk-palace/ was fabulous Mariska's background was sad and yet facinating, what a survivor and a great role model she turned out to be She is so amazing on Law & Order: SVU, she and Ice T are like the only originals left (he joined in Season 2) and to be on that show for nearly 20 is a great achievement
