eeee excerpted in part, more at link: ‘Walking Dead’ Star Jeffrey Dean Morgan Was Just as Clueless as You About Negan’s Victim“I didn’t find out whom we were going to kill until I saw the first script coming back this year,” Morgan says
“The Walking Dead” fans can take a little solace in knowing that Negan himself was clueless about his victim until recently. Jeffrey Dean Morgan, who plays the new villain on the upcoming season of the AMC series, says that he was kept in the dark about the Season 6 finale just like everyone else. “I certainly didn’t know. I’ve seen interviews where Norman has said, ‘I know,’ but I honestly don’t know that anybody really knew what was going to happen until the first script came out,” Morgan told Entertainment Weekly. “Maybe during the summer people found out some stuff. I didn’t find out whom we were going to kill until I saw the first script coming back this year.”
Morgan also once again addressed fan outrage at the cliffhanger finale, which saw an incredible outpouring of anger towards the show, specifically at showrunners Scott Gimple and Greg Nicotero. “I think by the time October rolls around all those people who are like, ‘I’m never watching “Walking Dead” again. I feel cheated,’ they’re going to be the first ones lined up in front of their television,” he said. “And I’ll say this, you have to be careful what you wish for, audience, because you’re going to get those answers answered and more, and you’re probably not going to be happy with it.”

Ok I just saw the ending for the first time. Hard to say but it doesn't seem like he was on the left side of those kneeling It looks like it could be somone near Rick or more on the right side:
“It’s a much different story because we’re opening a different chapter, and one thing you’ve got to think about is this death changes who our characters are and propels them in a different direction. That’s one of the reasons why we felt that having the death in the premiere episode was warranted. Yeah, it’s a cliffhanger and I get that people were anxious and excited about knowing what happened, and seeing where it goes with the story, but truth of the matter is, that death propels our story forward, and has a direct effect on people. And that’s why you really want it to be the anchor point of our season 7 as opposed to the parting moment of season 6, and then sort of starting already partially into our story.”

that Khary Payton will have a series regular role, joining the 20 previously-confirmed series regulars in Season 7. Of course, one of these characters will not be sticking around too long, with the Season 7 premiere set to reveal who the victim of Negan's (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) brutal beating is. We don't know for sure exactly when we'll meet Ezekiel, but he will certainly have a pivotal role in this new season. Ezekiel and The Kingdom were first introduced in the 108th issue of The Walking Dead comics, just eight issues after the introduction of Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), who we first met in the Season 6 finale and will be a series regular in Season 7. In Robert Kirkman's comics, The Kingdom is a group who have fortified a college campus, lead by this man and his pet tiger. One of this seasons' biggest questions is how they will portray Shiva the tiger, with rumors from the set claiming that they are using a mixture of animatronics and CGI to bring her to life. As you can see, they've done a pretty impressive job. Of course, the big question that remains is which character will be killed be Negan? We have reported that each of the 11 characters Negan lined up, who recently got their own character posters, each shot their own death scene, and we most certainly won't find out who this mysterious victim is until the Season 7 premiere. The Walking Dead producers used today's Comic-Con panel to reveal that Walking Dead Season 7 will debut on Sunday, October 23 at 9 PM ET on AMC. Ever since Season 2, each season has been split into eight-episode halves, which will continue with Season 7. Khary Payton is best known for his voice over work, portraying Cyborg on Teen Titans and the new series Teen Titans Go!, Hex on Ben 10 and Ben 10: Alien Force and Black Manta on Young Justice. Most recently, he has been voicing Grimlock, Divebomb and a number of other characters on Transformers: Robots in Disguise and Rafiki in The Lion Guard. Take a look at the first trailer for Season 7 of The Walking Dead below, which reveals Khary Payton as King Ezekiel, and stay tuned for more on this highly-anticipated season.

and more updates... as the season premiere nears we'll probably be seeing more and more of this stuff... Further adding fuel to the fire is Greg Nicotero’s recent interview with EW. In the chat, he speaks on the lengths the production has taken to maintain the secrecy behind the cliffhanger. Yet, in his attempt to keep things under wraps, he may have let one major detail out of the bag.
Notice how Nicotero refers to more than one death in the Season 7 opener? It’d have to be a moment that is so impactful to alter “the entire makeup” of the show’s universe. What if Maggie met her maker only to find Glenn race to her aid? If that happens, the probability of Glenn making it out alive is very slim. [Edited 9/7/16 19:29pm]

Exclusive: The Walking Dead cast tell us exactly why we should be afraid of the inhuman NeganEven Daryl's quaking in his boots... Negan is coming and he's going to inject some "real fear" into The Walking Dead. The cast of the monster hit reveal exactly why we should be scared of Jeffrey Dean Morgan's new villain in a Digital Spy exclusive clip. Negan: Something to Fear is taken from The Walking Dead: The Complete Sixth Season, out soon on Blu-ray and DVD. "I think it's great that there's a character that's introduced that's going to be put fear in them," says Norman Reedus. "I mean, like... real fear." Andrew Lincoln previously promised that his encounter with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) will leave Rick Grimes a changed man... if he survives. "He's powerless for the first time since he woke up from the coma," Lincoln revealed. "Everything he's worked for, for two years, has been shattered in 24 hours. "So he's not in a good space and I think if he makes it through the first episode, then he's different. He'll be a different man." Jeffrey Dean Morgan meanwhile has a clear warning for fans, promising that things will get "seriously weird with Negan around". "The comics only give you so much – they're great, it's a wonderful navigation, but with Negan, it's given me an opportunity to do something I have never done before," he hinted. Morgan's first scene was a 12-page sequence – most of it an extensive Negan monologue. So it's no surprise the actor admitted to being "a little nervous going in". "But I remember right before I walked out of that trailer for the first time, this weird kind of calm came over me," he said. "The rest of the cast were acting their asses off – and to do that, and be that vulnerable, for a guy that's just walking in and kind of turned the show upside down, that's a testament to them." The Walking Dead: The Complete Sixth Season is available on Blu-ray and DVD from September 26, courtesy of Entertainment One.

by Amanda Lynne September 26, 2016 ‘The Walking Dead’ Spoilers: What Will Really Happen In Season 7?
According to Comic Book, the conclusion is coming and will be shown quite early on in the Season 7 premiere. However, Walking Dead fans have been bombarded with so much speculation and spoilers that trying to figure it all out is nearly impossible. Thankfully, there does seem to be evidence that some of the spoilers are very likely to happen. As many Walking Dead fans know, Glenn is the character who dies at the hands of Negan in the comic book series. Negan picks Glenn at random from the group and then brutally bashes his head in with a baseball bat. It appears the TV show may be following the comic book storyline this time around as actor Steven Yeun, who plays Glenn on the series, has only reportedly filmed one episode in Season 7. The biggest Walking Dead topic of the summer has been the identity of Negan’s victim. Who did Negan kill in the Season 6 finale? Nearly every character in the death lineup has been rumored to be the one to get Negan’s bat. However, only two characters seem to fit the bill. It seems that when the series returns in October, fans will likely see either Glenn or Abraham be revealed as Negan’s victim. The character of Abraham Ford is another option to be revealed as Negan’s victim in the premiere episode. Abraham’s character arc seems to have played out, and fans are fully expecting to see the redheaded military man meet his end sometime during the course of Season 7. Sadly, it seems that Abe may either take Glenn’s place, or viewers will watch both characters die in the first episode of the season. Actor Michael Cudlitz, who plays Abraham, has also allegedly only filmed one episode for the upcoming season. Walking Dead spoilers reveal that it’s likely Abraham will be killed first and when Daryl tries to intervene, Negan will take out his frustration on Glenn for no good reason. Daryl will allegedly then be taken by Negan and his group. Fans of the show know that if this is true, Daryl will likely never forgive himself for getting Glenn killed, and it is something he’ll always struggle with. Meanwhile, speculation about the character of Carol has revealed that she may also meet her end during Season 7. The rumors stem from the comic book version of Carol, who is very different from the TV show character. In the comics, Carol loses her will to live and commits suicide by letting walkers eat her alive. In Season 6 of the series, Carol has seemingly lost faith in herself and her group. While this could lead to Carol’s demise, it isn’t likely that she’s going anywhere in the foreseeable future. Another popular theory is that Rick will lose control of the group in Season 7. The Walking Dead fans have watched as Rick stepped up as leader of the group since meeting up with them. He basically overthrew Shane for the title, and has had the mostly unwavering support of the gang ever since. However, after Negan murders member(s) of his family unit, Rick may step away from his leadership role. In the comic book, it is Spencer who rallies the people of Alexandria to overthrow Rick when he’s at his weakest, and it looks like that could happen on the TV show as well. Unfortunately, rumors are flying that Spencer isn’t long for the world, and that Negan could take him out as early as the mid-season finale this winter.

They say that's a wedding ring in that ending shot, but I can't tell. It's an intense scene though, Jeffrey Dean Morgan is perfect in that role. And it's quiet as heck except for the chirping of the birds.
