The Godfather is really maintaining its foothold in popular culture. Back in January, HBO premiered a seven-hour cut of the first and second movies called The Godfather Epic. Coming in November, cinephiles will be able to get their hands on director/co-writer Francis Ford Coppola's bible to the films.

Regan Arts is behind The Godfather Notebook, which will clock in at about 720 pages. "With meticulous notes and impressions of Mario Puzo’s novel," reads a statement accompanied by some fascinating photos, "the Notebook was referred to by Coppola daily on set while he directed the movie."

The filmmaker, now 77, penned a new intro for the text. In the Regan Arts statement, he calls the project "the key to understanding what went into making the film from Mario Puzo’s novel.”
