Hey org, POOK here. Some of you might remember me, most won't. I was around on the PPML under another name, then on the org, then on the org again when it moved, then under another few names until I started too many fights, then I became POOK full-time because POOK is an awesome little monkey in a diaper that flings poo but generally means well (except for the times I organized raids on okayplayer.com, starwars.com and others), and being POOK, who speaks in a very specific way, made it impossible to start all those fights. Still got in some trouble, naturally.

The other names I had? You wouldn't remember them, or you didn't like them. Briefly, I was BUMMYTIME, although I was the only one who thought that was hilarious.

BTW, I am not and never was "ReturnOfDook," my copycat who stirred up real political trouble, however, in my one and only real-life org meetup, I did have dinner with him. On my next trip to his hometown, he totally ditched me and posted a fake photo of a bubble in his tire as an excuse, anyone else remember that? Yeah, me neither.

Here are some the people I remember: CarrieCee, Kingsausage, Lleena, Xxaxx, others. Orged with the most? Luv4U, IceNine, Anxiety, Supafunkyorgangrindersexy (originally "Organgrinder the Magnificent," and maker of excellent mixdiscs). Most intriguing name? Calldppl1dery (might have messed that one up). Org poet laureate? Shausler, of course (I had a few good ones too). My nemesis? Nep2nes, but I loved everyone for reals. I was never squozen, I was never in a mafia, but I'm pretty sure I've gotten vooms.

I have learned a lot about a lot of different types of people on the org. That's what was so great about Prince, he had a huge, wide range of styles that appealed to everyone. Many stereotypes in my mind were laid to rest through discussions - with Anxy, in particular.

Then I got busy. Yes, in the way you are thinking, I have kids and all that and it's been fantastic. Life has its ups and downs and you move forward, because there isn't anything else to do. For a few years, I wrote album reviews for a local record store's website, as well as a few other indie sites. I did get on reddit for a while, and learned how to amass upvotes quickly (post in new askreddit, keep it to one line, and leave your thought incomplete - it's like leaving reply bait), but reddit is super anonymous, so I deleted the profile.

I thought about deleting my org profile, but I just couldn't. Not because I ran out of ideas - I could literally post about banana factories and squooshing in all caps until the end of time. I've been hanging around here too long, and I guess that means something to me. My profile today says I've been a member for 14 years, but I've actually been around since 1998 or 1999. Long enough to have had a geocities page mysteriously disappear after I posted Prince .mp3s.

Not sure where I'm going here, but thanks. Thanks for being a part of my life this long.

Most of this post is about us instead of Prince, because while I never knew him personally, I've gotten to know some of you personally. I know it's been a while, but I might be on from time to time. Need someone to talk Prince with, you know? Just seems like these days things are different, and it's not necessary to do it in the wise monkey voice. Only sometimes.
