I seen an interview with Ian McShane where he seemed less than enthused about the show. I think he called it "a show about tits and dragons" and that he only agreed to be in it because some of his friends were in it. So, spoilers ahead of the new season. There will be tits. And there will be dragons. smile

Among a TON of other questions . . .

- Will Jon Snow survive? I lean towards no. But this may come down to semantics at this point. The cast members are saying Jon Snow is definitely dead. But there is still the Azor Ahai theory out there. We'll find out.

- Has Bran Become a Warg Jedi Yet? lol His arc really seems Episode VI -ish to me. But he's now the leading candidate for Westeros Messiah.

- What of the Lannisters Now? Myrcella is gone, and essentially war has been declared. Cersei just got shame-walked. Tommen is holed up. Jaime once again comes up empty. Where do they go from here?

- Missing Pieces. Where is the Hound? Rickon? Blackfish? Gendry?

I'm really hoping that Gendry is gonna pop up this season. Rickon too.

I thought Bran was supposed to be all tangled up in a tree with minimal warg powers, but the pictures show him moving about, interacting with people, so there's a interesting twist.

I'm hoping for some good surprises with the people we already know without adding a whole lot of other characters we know nothing about.

And war. Again.

Game of Thrones would be nothing without war. lol My favorite battle after 5 seasons is still Blackwater. Honorable mention is the battle with Jon Snow+the Night's Watch+The Wildings VS. the Dead Army. Jon Snow was a damn beast during that battle!!! nod And the look on Jon's face when the White Walker Commander raised the dead was priceless...like WTF+OMFG!!!!! spit

I think it all depends on what they do with Bran's character. If he has the power to bring Jon back, basically releasing him from The Night's Watch, and yet keeping him the same person he's always been then I'm cool. Bringing him back any other way to me would be disappointing, he's either somebody else's pawn (the Whitewalkers), or is in danger of have a massive personality change (not to mention all scarred up) or he's some kind of animal (boring) most of the show.

Ghost is aptly named. He disappears. It's going to be harder to catch him than it was to catch Robb's direwolf.

Holy moly . . . is Ghost a metaphor for Jon's resurrection???

The premiere episode is "The Red Woman", so obviously Melisandre is going to play a major role, then again we have heard there is another Red Woman to make an appearance.

Beyond the wall, Bran Stark has been training with the Three-Eyed Raven, having last appeared in the season four finale episode "The Children". According to an interview conducted with Isaac Hempstead Wright about Bran's plot line in season six, the training largely expands his previous ability to see into the past and future, and allow him more control to piece things together. He also discovers his role in the wars to come.[4]

Near the Dothraki Sea, after being surrounded by the khalasar of Khal Jhaqo, Daenerys Targaryen is taken captive and discovers that the Dothraki have certain traditions for widows of fallen Khals.[5] In an interview with Emilia Clarke, she stated of Daenerys's plot line, "She's learning the last lesson she needs to learn. There's just few remnants of being a human being she's shaking off."[6]

In King's Landing, Jaime Lannister has returned to Cersei Lannister with the body of their daughter Myrcella, and the two must work together to overcome the rising influence of the Faith Militant and the High Sparrow.[7]

In Meereen, Tyrion Lannister, accompanied by Varys, Grey Worm, and Missandei, will strive to keep order and manage the city using "Westeros-style politics" to prevent it from falling into chaos following the departure of Daenerys.[8]

At Winterfell, Ramsay Bolton and his forces are in pursuit of Sansa Stark and Theon Greyjoy, following their escape at the end of the last season.[9]

Based on the trailer, Ghost may step in to help Davos and Jon's loyalists against whomever they've pulled swords on.

Based on GoT's history, I'm not getting my hopes up for too much happening in E1.
