Today's trailer for the Feb. 10, 2017 flick shows nothing's changed...except that Batman's into hip-hop now. A fourth-wall-breaking opener teaches us that The Lego Batman Movie is "written, directed, sound-mixed, choreographed, and painstakingly beatboxed by me." You could guess who "me" is; you couldn't guess that Wiz Khalifa’s “Black and Yellow” is the ensuing soundtrack to the trailer.

The clip's a great point-blank reminder of exactly how fun and funny The Lego Movie was, and how fantastic the actual Legos and animation and scenery all turned out. The new movie will feature voice-acting work from, in ascending order of mind-blow-iness: Michael Cera (Robin), Rosario Dawson (Batgirl), Zach Galifianakis (The Joker) and Mariah Carey (Gotham's mayor).

At the helm is Lego Movie/Robot Chicken veteran Chris McKay; on the script is Seth Grahame-Smith, who did Pride and Prejudice and Zombies and is supposed to have worked on the still very much in fluxBeetlejuice 2.
