answer to question: yeah. imo they sort of crossed a line, and what disturbes me about crossing that line is because they violated the precepts by which they say they live. all of deanna preachies about making a new world, rising from the ashes.... this feels like sinking back into the ashes.

.

imo they should have sorted out for themselves what negan was about before they just sauntered in and spiked living people sad very disturbing.

.

i guess i can stretch and see it as one of those 'it's okay, this is a new world eat or be eaten things', but then isn't the very point of life to live according to the higher rule of moral law?

.

then again there was those wicked little photos tacked to the wall which hints these guys were evil bad guys... i dunno. i guess i can see it and that bothers me too

It's interesting that Glenn has never killed a person until tonight. It does not make me feel good at all and I dont wanna see how this will end. Why raid a compound that you know nothing about? No surveillance...nothing.

i thought about it some more and this episode really flipped my loyalty to rick and company.

.

they acted in ways i never thought they would, first by (duh!) failing to perform reconnaissance of the enemy camp and secondly by being the kind of folks who stab a sleeper in the eye, slit your throat and say bye bye,

.

my sympathies were with them until now, but now i'm thinking rick really needs medication and a long long break from stress, while the others need to start thinking for themsleves.

.

kudos to abraham for leaving that mess behind since it seems likely that really bad things will happen to rick's group now they totally asked for it.

Glad to see her humanity is still very much intacted. And she could have gotten some, woohoo.

Maggie's behind should have stayed home, but should never enters the equation does it?

Season finale next episode.

Sorry nope. There I go again getting what I hear instead of looking it up. This season's 16 episodes not 13. So Negan my not physically appear for a while yet.

Oh, it wasn't a spoiler for this season. It was for the entire series. Who is not going to make it when they decide to close the curtain. I think most people know and don't believe or just aren't saying.

^ was this a response to last night's episode?? because if is wasn't, i'm not sure i can stomach what must be coming next.

.

it's a fascinating show, because in true lord of the flies form TWD makes us look really really hard at our lesser selves, the boogeyman that we become under the right circumstances.

.

i really hated seeing glenn crying and hearing that squish. that disturbed my dreams last night . yuk. i understand the real world is rough but i'm really really disappointed that rick and co didn't find a better way.

.

if it were me, i'd have set up a parlay with a perimeter ambush. give things a chance to go ,well

.

rick's assumption that his crew had a shot at 'winning' with the element of surprise doesn't ring true since they had no way of knowing the extent of negan's operation.

.

just, bad plan and gruesome execution. and that dread feeling of knowing it will only get worse.

I understand it was about the finale, so not this episode, which does make one a bit queasy. I don't know if I'm up for it.

Listen to Rick speak this last episode, I had to remember hunger will make one do some crazy desparate things. That's what they are dealing with right now. They want to strike while they have their strength. It's horrible. But it's a place they've been to before and have not intentions of going to again. We're getting down to the primate now.

Yeah, I was asking myself the same question. Especially when the idea of "hope" is removed. That was the initial draw, the idea that no matter what there is always hope. The Pandora's Box syndrome, I guess.

Then I realized now the draw is, I'm connected to these characters and need to know what happens to them. It's like reading a book, there's a sense of lose when the stories over because you become attached. So I'm in until the story's over.
