Let this be a lesson to everyone...Sealed out of court settlements can be reopened by a Judge..Whatever The Lawyers promise you in writing means NOTHING. Sometimes having all the Money in the world can't save you...This situation has changed the settlement Game forever....

The OJ Jury did its job and delivered a verdict just like The George Zimmerman Jury delivered its verdict..Millions of people were not happy and most of us got over it (except those still Butthurt over all things OJ)....Saying OJ "Got off" means you have lost all Faith in the justice System and I might agree with you if you're a Black Man...Regardless of how Society feels about the Justice System a Jury reviewing evidence before delivering a verdict is still a glimmer of Hope when it comes to the Justice system...I can still say that as a Black Man KNOWING Black folks get the Kictchen sink & a shoe thrown at us when we stand before a judge..

Oh but they are trying HARD...The Judge wants his 15min of Fame, he's waiting for his moment to stand up and say "I'm running this Court House, don't test me!!"....ALL the Lawyers involved want their own Court Shows or a Contract with CNN...The Officials of the Court are making deals with all the Networks to air it LIVE....They will drag the Trial out until every official has a TV deal or a 7-figure book deal or all the above...

Karma will stop them. Because it's not done the right way. It's a waste of time & money, They don't even have DNA on Bill to link him to all those different women. It's just a conspiracy to bring him down. Bill will walk free! But sadly his health will suffer for it. sad

DNA testing didn't even exist when nearly all of these assaults are alleged to have occurred. Even if it did, DNA isn't definitive proof of rape. It almost always boils down to he said/she said as to whether it was consensual or not. Cosby isn't charged with raping all those women, though, as those cases are past the statute of limitations. He's charged with sexually assaulting one woman, and in this case, they don't need DNA, because Cosby admitted it. Cosby's own description to police of what he did to this victim constitutes sexual assault, whether he realized it or not ( https://drive.google.com/...WNfak4xMFE ). I would not be surprised if he walks, though, because all they need is one juror like you.

The judge followed the letter of the law in this case, instead of giving Cosby special treatment, for once. It's Cosby's own lawyers that made the unbelievably stupid decision of letting him incriminate himself in the deposition back in 2005, without having a legal written immunity agreement in place.

The law doesn't "promise" you can use the court to hide possible malfeasance either. I recall reading somewhere the judge hearing Cosby's' case said something to that affect, he's correct. The facts are, judges do and have unsealed courts documents for various legal reasons; Cosby's case isn't an anomaly. Judges', defense counsel, and prosecutors can and do requested court documents / evidence be sealed for various reasons. Defense counsel and prosecutor's can and do file motions to have documents and/or evidence unsealed.

Found this in the link purple-thunder provided I...

The former district attorney who declined to arrest Bill Cosby on sex-crime charges a decade ago testified Tuesday that he essentially granted the comedian lifetime immunity from prosecution in the case.

Former Montgomery County District Attorney Bruce Castor took the stand in a bid by Cosby's lawyers to get the case against the TV star thrown out long before trial because of what they say is a non-prosecution agreement with Castor.

The current district attorney insists there is no record of any such promise.

Castor admitted the only place the matter was put in writing was in the 2005 press release announcing his decision not to prosecute.

He acknowledged that he didn't draw up a formal immunity agreement filed with a judge because, he said, Cosby was afraid that would make him look bad. Also, Castor said, "It was unnecessary because I concluded there was no way the case would get any better." And he said Cosby's lawyers did not insist on such a document.

It was the responsibility of Cosby's legal team to make sure lifetime immunity papers were filed… so, no, there's nothing in "writing". Why in the world would you allow your client to talk to the police investigators and agree to a deposition? Why, to what ends! This is a fact: " Everything you say can and will be used against you in court." Cosby had the right to remain silent, there was no reason why he should have said anything. In my humble opinion, Cosby legal team didn't advise or serve him well.

This case is far from over...

The next step is a preliminary hearing to determine if there is enough evidence for a trial.

Why would Bill Cosby need lifetime immunity
from prosecution if he is innocent?

Yes, why? Very good question.

Answer: Because he is guilty, that's why. Some people are blinded because he's Bill Cosby!
