Soul Food is my fave and I am always on the lookout for new places wherever they may be. Now we know Big Mama can set a table, but what eateries ring your bell?

but there are "greesy spoons" all over the country that be killin...

i find that any place where you can order a turkey dinner for breakfast

gotta be the hottest spots in town, no matter how slow it look...

and it don't hurt if they got 24 hour service... i mean a playa gotta

New Yorkers ALWAYS rave about Sylvia's Soulfood joint in Harlem...Famous White Celebs like News Commentator Bill O'Reilly never knew what Soulfood tasted like until he ate there...The Soulfood joints in my southern town are a dying breed..Back in the 80's & 90's we had a few popular Mom & Pop joints then they slowly died out and now we're left with a popular White owned Country Cooking chain...In the South Country Cooking & Soulfood are basically the same Foods just prepared differently...For example.....Classic Mac'n Cheeze is baked and should have a thickness to it, not "soupy/creamy"....Country Cooking folks prefer "creamy/soupy" Mac'n Cheeze....Collard greens should be chopped, but Country Cooking folks will put the Whole Tree in a pot of water..Same food just prepared differently...

I head Sylvia's is not that great. Chancellor where do you live?
