Someone in your circle is a BAD TEXTER

There are some bad texters out there...

For me, i have an older sister who doesn't seem to understand the joking nature of myself and my brother in a group text. She dryly texts stuff like "That's not nice".

My youngest brother will come out of left field with some stuff that I don't understand. Below is what he texted to me, with no context: "I jus order 'pita bread' in butt bun...ahhhblaaalllaaaa"

Who texts you that consistently makes you scratch your head? WTF?

Thanks for the laughs, arguments and overall enjoyment for the last umpteen years. It's time for me to retire from Prince.org and engage in the real world...lol. Above all, I appreciated the talent Prince. You were one of a kind.

The thing that annoys me most about texting is waiting for someone to text me back. I have one friend in particular who can take anything up to 6 hours to reply to a text. It'd be quicker to have a carrier pigeon deliver the message!

I don't mind a few days or so.
An old friend of mine takes the piss tho, when she's ready she takes wks with her sometimeish arse. Passive aggressive.
I haven't instigated any txts with her in a yr now.

No, I meant Erin. But seeing as I haven't heard from you in 4 months and you choose now to contact me through Prince.org, I can see why you would think I meant you.

My intentions for not texting quickly are simple though, and they're not meant to be dismissive at all.

Alot of people are too busy texting & being glued to their damn phones 24/7. Its like, enough already!!! lol talk to the people you're physically with instead of being on your phone, you never know, maybe you might never get to see that person ever again & you'll end up regretting the times you wasted looking down on your phone.

The whole purpose of these texting apps is convenience, they're supposed to enhance human interaction not replace it.

Sorry for the passionate rant lol

texting can be useful, but imo it's WAY overdone in american culture. too often, being seen in public with a phone in hand these days is the look of 'cool'. as in: loookit me, i'm a social butterfly and not even driving this car will stop me from texting my BFFs!. (by the way, state patrol advises calling 911 on texters in traffic)

.

the other thing that bugs me about texting is that when someone sends me a text, they want a reply right away. (then why didn't you just call me? i would have picked up the phone and answered but no...) so i don't reply and you send me another text wondering why i haven't responded to the first text then you're mad at me all because i didn't check my messages for a whole entire hour .. .

.

and as if that ain't annoying enough, there are those who will. not. stop. texting. once that exchange starts, it's like a bad game of ping pong and the person at the other end won't stop sending messages and demanding replies.

Rant on, i hear u.
People r busy, that's why when they get back 2 me a few hrs or days later it's cool with me, majority of the time.
Also when i call & they dnt pick up i dnt call again (unless its important).
I kno they can see my missd call, they can get back 2 me.
Can't stand it when peep ring dwn my cell, worse case scenario they then start 2 ring dwn the landline too!

Im a horror with a smartphone period. I forget I'm supposed to have it out all the time.

Heck at the concert everyone around us had their phones out typing away. I was amusing myself looking over people's shoulders reading their messages. It's a whole new world with a different set of morals
