I was a big Dr. Who fan when I was a kid and became a fan again in recent years when these two actors starred in Dr. Who:

I was bummed when he didn't play Dr. Who anymore, but I'll check out the movie.

Tenant grew up watching Dr. Who and always wanted to play The Doctor. When his time ended, the scene where he said, "I don't want to go", I almost cried because I thought he was somehow being made to leave the series, but my son informed me he chose to end his time as The Doctor. My kids are really into Dr. Who now, and I started watching again with this doctor, and have really gotten into the newer series. My favorite was always Tom Baker, but when Peter Davidson became the 5th doctor, I stopped watching it. I just didn't like Peter in that role. He was too squeaky clean for that role and had no charisma to me. My kids will definitely want to see this movie! (So, do I!)

I liked him and the 1st guy of the new shows. This new Dr. is older but I think I like what he brings to the role too,so the movie's a definite I think for me watching the first of the new show they explained in a creative way what the heck you were looking at, I tried originally to watch one of the middle shows and couldn't make heads or tails out of it and gave up. Never saw the original shows because I never heard of it but I was able to catch a couple of the original episodes not too long ago, their interesting but I'm hooked on the newer ones right now.

This isn't a movie, it's the two-part finale to the last season, from last year, except it wasn't shown in 3D the first time.

I'm annoyed that they aren't showing the 3D version in cinemas here. I would have gone. Last year, they did show the season opener in cinemas here and I went to that.

The new season starts in 17 days!

1. SPOILER ALERT: The Master is currently a woman!

2. The Cybermen are total pussies. Think about it, they nothing more but humans with very low self-esteem and robotic body parts. And besides, The Daleks are way better villians. They are to The Doctor what The Joker is to Batman.
