I thought the entire point of the show was to portray how society fell to the zombie apocalypse. But now the pretty much skip through all of that. We see a couple of small scale riots in the last previous episode and now most of LA collapsed. And once again we are in a compound with an asshole leader. As if Walking Dead didn't have enough compounds with asshole leaders. We all know the compound will get overun with walkers and they'll have to escape only find a new compound run by assholes. The entire premise of FTWD and TWD is dead in the water.

I'll definately buy it when it comes to DVD/Blueray

I'm watching Walking Dead season 5 now then I'll watch 4

I think after seeing all of the Walking Dead we want that same adrenilin rush for Fear the Walking Dead. Of course that can't be. It could have worked better if they focused on 2 different sets of people: this Suburban crew and a more rural crew. Show it from a more detailed Urban setting. This image of the beach/Amusement Park setting would have shown a good contrast. Circus's Fairs Amusement Parks always have a different element of darkness to them that could turn up the fear level in this show. Shadow, clown zombies House of Horrors dark with the ride lights on the merry music etc

One of the things that makes Walking Dead good is that they always told 2-3 different stories at the same time.

The show sucks ass, plain and simple. The storyline doesn't make a bit of sense and I'm constantly finding myself wanting all the characters to be devoured by the walkers (or as they call them in this show, "the infected"). The only character who even seems to have an ounce of intelligence is Ruben Blades. I can't wait for the REAL Walking Dead show to begin in 2 weeks. Yeesh. confused

The problem with not the kind of budget to convey the story.

This has been bothering me during the 4th episode. LA has no less than 2 million plus people, its a very condense city, there are 12 evacuation locations that people from the outside are put, yet in this location there appear to be a lot of vacant houses and it doesn't appear that the current residents have to make room in their homes for new evacuees. So where in the heck are these new people they are supposed to be bringing in staying? And are we supposed to believe that at this point only a few dozen people in an area survive? The streets would have to be littered with walkers and the stench of the dead would be stifling. LA was the worse choice if your not going to show anything pertaining to the sheer magnitude of people that would be affected by this plague. Pick Fresno or something with a more believable population for your budget

Only one person is yelling at the military about their missing family member, in America, the land of I demand my rights? Seems like their trying to apply other countries mentality on an Americanised population. We've grown up believing we have certain rights, these people seem overly passive to me this early on.

Talk about being way off.

Los Angeles County — the most populous in the nation with about 10.1 million people —

Yeah they should have done a much smaller county

Fresno County ... As of 2015, the city's population was 520,159 making it the fifth largest city in California,

But its not near the ocean so there's that.

And hell no to my City, not near LA in numbers but bigger than what they're showing and no way is the population THAT passive, people in this city have been known to seriously mobilize in an emergency situation.

Yeah I m going to stop thinking about it now because the more I think about it the more its pissing me off. This is a fictional show with an extremely fictional situation.

Another terrible episode but it's nice that they continued the character of Alan Johnson from Peep Show on their show.

I´m looking forward to watching the new episode online in a few minutes but I must admit that I really enjoy Z Nation, although it´s a bit camp, cheap and trashy. wink

Thanks Erin, if it wasn´t for you I wouldn´t even know that that other show existed. And I´ve only watched three episodes so far....so much more to watch. Yay!

I hope Fear the Walking Dead picks up pace real soon. It´s been more frustrating than enjoyable so far. I wonder how the creator of the graphic novels feels about this lame spin-off.

The Murphy character is pretty great, actually. I think the actor that plays him, Keith Allen, is just fantastic. It was this character that got me hooked.

Season two so far has been fun.

I can't help it. I'm back to thinking about.

The military personnel. They are acting too nonchalant, like this is some distant stuff that doesn't affect them. This is supposed to be their home that's falling apart. Whatever they are seeing they know is happening to their family and friends whatever city they're from, and yet you see no tension or frustration in any of them. The only way the "soldier" would give out information is to brutally torture him? Not that he might have a little affection for who he's sleeping with knowing what's coming next and maybe, just maybe, guilt, shame or whatever doesn't color his judgement or loyalties that the same thing is happening to his folks back home. Where are the human beings in this drama?

I think I'm going to finish this last episode and pass on season 2 until I hear something really happening. I'm not into just watching members of another group get killed off, just for the sake of watching people die.

And what the heck happened to my font?????????

Well that was the last episode. One more of the group dead. Wish I felt sad but I don't. I wish I knew what happened to 3 million people. Well we accounted for a couple thousand of them that's something. Got to see the beach that was nice.

Eh, I'm passing on the flight thing too.

It would be nice if those webisodes explained events that happened within the series. I've seen some that were like that and they made the main show more enjoyable. In fact TWD had some that added information or expanded a story of something in the show. I'm sure you've seen them. But since I'm really disappointed on how this show was presented I'm not interested in investing anymore time in it.

Just saw the finale, was pretty good full with action. I agree with morningsong about the military in it. With that said I think season 2 should be better, and I hope the boy will no longer be a junkie. Now I would have been pissed off if Ofelia would have died from that gun shot.

I just got done with ep 3... and I have seen all the WD shows... and I was thinking has anyone ever called them ZOMBIES? Are we to assume that in this world there is no Zombie myths?

Oh the best part so far was when the guy looks up and sees something in the sky... wow... and when the neighbor comes home unexpectedly...

Ok off to 4 i guess.. (so far i am far from hooked)

Ok the opening of 4: how foolish! the guy in the pool... is is sleeping or just zoning out? and the dad is out for a run with ear buds in...

And then he opens the fridge? and all those unessacary lights? come on!

I've read repeatedly that the creators say that in that world zombie stories never existed, take what you will from that.

Honestly for me the more it gets pondered on the more ridiculous the concept becomes I'm just settling on enjoying the original story for as long as it last.

Zombie genre in general only now works for me in a WWZ concept, that it happens so fast people don't have time to think, which is ridiculous in itself since viruses can't work that fast.

So it just comes down to do I have fun watching the story or not. I did not have fun watching Fear, too much forced formulas and cliches.

This show is embarrassingly bad. disbelief I've managed to watch the first 4 episodes (4 being so uninteresting that it took me three attempts). I tried episode 5 last night, but couldn't be bothered after about 10 minutes.

I'll try again tonight, but I'm starting to ask, "Why?" confuse Entertainment shouldn't feel like a chore. I'm hoping against hope that the latter half of Ep 5 and the entirety of Ep 6 knock me off my feet.

Episode 6 (season 1 finale) was better than the whole boring season and even that isn't saying too much as it was just average. I'm not even all that interested im tuning into season 2, though I probably will just to see if they have worked out the kinks.

I did watch The Talking Dead after and had to laugh when the lady who plays Madison said that her character is more like Rick. Really? ohgoon hmph!

So the second season will have their own Talking Dead after show, that should help I watched the season finale's TD show. The woman who played Madison doesn't seem to have any warmth. She had the exact same facial expression as she did through most of the show. Didn't seem she appreciated the host calling her Shane, she thought everybody would see her as Rick, the leader. There was no reasonable explanation for why Nick kept wearing the same clothes for at least a week and a half. Looks like they are doing a cheat and are getting on a boat, that expensive yacht. So again what was the point of LA? You know they're going to nuke it like they did Atlanta, so this group won't be escaping through it. No famous icons like Disneyland or the Tar Pits are going to be shown, no movie star zombies. They could have easily used Santa Barbara, San Jose, smaller cities, if all they needed was a shore.

Just the possibility of seeing The Talking Dead after each show makes me kind want to tune in to the first episodes. I'll see.

I just thought of this, why are people using just one side of freeways if everybody's trying to get out of town, wouldn't both sides be used in such an unique emergency? They did that in TWD and those long shots of LA, only one side of the freeway was jammed packed with cars. Everybody's politely following the rules when running for their lives. NOT! Then again Glenn couldn't have come through with that sports car, if dead bodies and cars were on both sides..

I thought I'd get some insight watching The Talking Dead, nope, ended up with more questions. But The Talking Dead is fun regardless, which makes me want to see if I can bare the show long enough to get comfortable while they flesh out the characters. But I have no interest in the webisode, I can make up my own scenerio of what happened since I know the plane landed and one of the passengers will join the group. And it's a no for me on a spinoff of Meryl and Daryl, there's no new information to be had.

One last thing and then I'll stop. Dude was wearing somebody else's dirty funky clothes for like 12 days in a row, the boy was at home with his own room and belongs for days with a Mommy that washes for him, still he wore the same clothes that didn't even belong to him. He took them off to go swimming and everything. Then put the exact same clothes back on.

That alone sums up the logic of Fear The Walking Dead.
