A walk through “Dismaland” in Somerset, England — a sinister take on a theme park by elusive guerrilla street artist Banksy — reveals that the staffers are just as unpleasant as the attractions.

“Piss off,” shouted one staffer, hired to look miserable and serve as an anti-guide for guests. When a reporter put on a cheesy smile in a bid to break her concentration, she looked him up and down and shot back her dismissal.

Their attitude suits their surroundings.

The park — housed in an abandoned swimming pool complex in a county that borders Bristol, where Banksy spends a lot of time — is packed with pieces taking pot-shots at governments, corporations, celebrities, the paparazzi and the selfie-obsessed. [read more at link]

Yup, Banksy's Dismaland pretty much sums up my response to Jay-Z's "Tidal" being all about artists getting paid and not about free energy from the sun and moon!

mm hmm. i guess their function is to be the surly opposite of the disneyland greeters

I'm not generally a fan of modern art but I do think Banksy is a great artist and makes some brilliant political points through his work. I'd love to go see this.

i got a letter from the gobe'ment!

No i just got an automatic call from Solar central that says

"You can save money by attaching solar panels to your roof"

Now what I think the call is suggesting, is, even though we pay money to yo' sorry pensioner ass, is we have free reign to do what we mofu'un like to this house, yo jus gon pay is the same

Inspector was nice, why not:

"Hello Inspector, yes we have replaced all the carpets and stuck Solar Panels on the roof, any chance of a rebate? You are profitting from this ultimately?"

The guy works in Solar and fixes up the house next door and I totally forget to ask him about how his job affects his work!!!!!!!!!!

So has anyone (Orger) in the UK seen this show? Or know anyone who knows anyone who has seen the show? I am dying for someone to share the eperience! My niece is attending the LSE and I have begged her to go and check it out... but nothing yet.
