Top Trips to take in your lifetime

jet

This is one of those "things to see before you die" lists...

Lose Yourself In A Little Pocket of the Caribbean

Australia’s Great Ocean Road

Fisherman’s Cottage In Norway

Rappel Into The World’s Largest Cave In Vietnam

Walk on the Giant Mirror in Bolivia

Mexico’s Underwater Caverns

Greek Islands

Chase the Northern Lights in Iceland

cool

How many of those are on your list?

I definitely want to see the Northern Lights one day before I die.

To be honest, none. I've been to Bolivia last year (a visa is very expensive for US citizens btw. Europeans get in for free, but Americans pay something like $100) and decided to forget about the salt lakes because everybody is already going there. But the Amazon jungle was amazing.
I did the swimming in the Mexican cenotes too. There's a marine park near Tulum called Sian Ka'an where you can let the current drift you to the shore, that's pretty cool.
I don't really know where I'd like to go next. Whale watching might be fun.

cool

It's interesting that Bolivia charges Americans $100 to get a visa. Probably a tit-for-tat thing. lol

Yeah, the US government must have done something to piss Evo Morales off. Anyway, beautiful pictures!

I really, really want to go to Cuba as soon as possible. Want to see it now, before McDonald's opens up in Revolution Square.

I also want to hit Australia next year for a Melbourne Org Invasion...

...WHO'S WITH ME???

There are so many wonderful places to visit. Personally, I have loved getting to know the Hawaiian islands. I LOVE Maui and will definitely go back again and again. I also love the Caribbean islands I've been to. Hubby and I are looking forward to visiting Europe for the first time next year. Everyone should travel if they can. It opens your mind to different cultures and can be very educational too.

It's a virus. There's no cure. Once you have it, you'll never lose it.

Actually, I have a fetish for "corners" of the world, or "wild-natural" areas: siberia, aleutian islands, southern patagonia, northern Canada, the Sahara, inner Greenland, australian wasteland, deep Congo, etc.

when it comes to cities, I've already visited the ones I truly wanted to visit shrug London, Paris, Barcelona, Rome; though I still have to go to Istanbul and Athens

Drop me a line in case you need any help or guidance while there. I have relatives there ( but I´m not a big fan of Istanbul, I´m too Aegaen for that lol ).

I was actually a bit underwhelmed. Though I did like the lack of franchise fastfood chains and brandnames, I think a little bit of capitalism, or at least some ways to make more money, would change the country for the better because right now, people have very limited means to make money, which leads to people coming up with all kinds of hustles to take your money.

The greed of some people was the only thing that I disliked while being there. Other than that, it´s a very interesting, energetic and inspiring place.

However, I felt more comfortable when I flew back to Costa Rica, where I was staying back then.
