hoodies on the bus in summer ?

i know that it hasn't been much of a summer here in the uk, but just lateley i've noticed more and

more people wearing hoodies with the hood over their heads whilst travelling on public transport,

i know there have been some strange fashions down the years but this wearing hoodies on the bus

just seems a bit strange especially with all this stuff about muslim women wearing burkas, maybe

someone could shed some light on this,i could understand it in winter when its freezing on the bus

its just my opinion but i think they look ridiculous.

One thing I couldn't stand when I was living in Leeds, was seeing those guys putting their hands under their undies. I could stomach the rest of the fashion fads no matter how ridiculous they looked.

I think it's interesting that we have become less and less anonymous online as social media use increases and yet more & more people seem to want to be anonymous in public. It's not just youth either, one of my neighbours who is in his forties, insists on wearing a hoodie with hood up all year round (often with a scarf over his mouth too). I wish people would realise how intimidating it can seem to others who don't know them though, and rude too, it seems polite somehow to take the hood down on the bus so maybe it's a bit of a two-fingers to society, I don't know.

Fashion has always had it's trend that people can't fathom though, think punks, goths, hippies, mini/micro-skirts, hands down pants (Thanks Hamad biggrin ) etc... the one I can't fathom currently is dresses that open widely down the front to reveal (almost) everything on a woman. I really do wonder what message it sends out. I must be getting old smile

Seems like two extremes! Either you hide everything or you show everything! Haven't really noticed those things here in Holland btw.

If you don't understand some fashion anymore, you're getting old

A lot of times when I'm out I like to wear a hat or a hoodie or sunglasses, I prefer sort of "hiding" sometimes. I think there is too much exposure everywhere and it's nice to just sort of hide beneath a hood or a hat or whatever. Plus the sun is so freaking hot and bright!
