You can totally tell what happened in that scene. Kid is in drug house, junkie friend/dealer turns out to be zombie....run!

I wonder if the theme music is going to be the same or similar. It´s going to feel weird to watch a spin-off with a different melody.

Looking forward to watching this. After LOST, the Walking Dead has become my favorite TV show.

That's the wonderful thing about LA, it a place where there is a very wide variety of people from all kinds of walks of life. I hope they go into that and not just stick to character types.

No, they and the stories are all new.

I read the Walking Dead:the Rise - the Fall of the Governer and for a while it almost seemed to mirror the tv series but once the main characters came in it told a different story.

Having now seen the extended trailer, it seems you nailed it.

I love what looks to be fairly significant representation of L.A's Latino community in the new series. It's a way underrepresented cultural presence in American pop culture -- unless the subject matter pointedly is dealing with things Latino or requires a certain tokenism. On the other hand, the Latin presence could make for some really rich faith-related commentary into the whole zombie apocalypse, something we've seen only danced around in the original series.

There will be a level of sadness I think to FTWD that we did not get in the Walking Dead

seeing a city like LA with all those people prior to things being bad, and how 'our world' quickly disolves. I think like seeing San Andreas or other City/Planet devistation movies -War of the Worlds, seeing NYC destroyed.

Anyone know when the DVD for last season will be released. It is usually out by now

Season 5 of the Walking Dead arrives on DVD/Blu-ray next month, Aug 25th.
