I don't think I've seen a thread on it. I watched nearly the whole thing in a day. It was really good. Much better than I expected. The fight scenes are really well done.
If you will, so will I

I don't have a Netflix account. I can wait until the series is out on disc to see it.

I was really pleasantly pleased, too, binge-watched it over the week-end, really great fight scenes indeed, much darker and realistically violent than the rest of the MCU, very good screenwriting overall and some really nice surprises and easter eggs! Waaaay much better than Agents Of SHIELD and even Agent Carter (this one was pretty cool itself). I'm looking forward to watching the other Netflix/Marvel series and I'm glad they dared exploring its darker side in a realistic manner! It's also funny to compare it to the movie smile

It is, in fact, a homage to the costume he wore in the 1989 Hulk telefilm (google it and see for yourself) as well as a more realistic take on how the character is, at first, totally amateurish as a vigilante. The definitive costume is revealed in the last episode (you can google it, too). I have to admit that I find the 2003 costume way better than the final 2015 costume (IMHO), but it's a minor detail in the end.

That's correct. There is no demand for a Daredevil thread so one was not created.

It was soooooooo good! I wasn't expecting it to be. I love how it ties in with the MCU as well. They talked about the Avengers fucking NYC up, and halfway through episode 9, behind Ben Urich, you can see the newspaper that says "BATTLE FOR NYC" framed on a desk. Awesome lol.
I really liked how the Kingpin was handled. It was in a way that made you feel conflicted about him, and that pulled me emotionally into the show. Is he really a criminal? And Matt says he likes to hurt people, so does that make him the villain? It's making me think, and I love it smile
I also really, really like the red uniform. It looks more street ready than that S&M Fruit Rollup suit they used in the movie. I'm mad I gotta wait until 2016 for more episodes. So I read that apparently, the Iron Fist, Luke Cage, and Jessica Jones shows are being made, and all of them along with Daredevil, are leading up to a Defenders tv show.
Marvel just owns my soul right now.

Im not a comic book guy, and though I found it enjoyable I thought that they spent WAY too much time doing his origin story. Dude didn't put on a costume till the end of the show. Props to Kingpin though he was a great choice, and actor, to use in the series.

Oh, yeah, there was at least a couple of Thor comments that I took to just be jokes that Vincent D'Onofrio was Thor in Adventures In Babysitting. Remember that movie? Or should I be expecting the real Thor to land in this series? Don't tell me! smile

I'm gonna wait for the DVD. I've heard mostly good things about it. Can't say I like either costume though from the pics I've seen.

It's so damned dark, I mean visually, it gets hard to watch. I watch a lot of "dark" shows and they find some kind of way to inject some kind of lighting, things that sometimes just don't make a damn bit a sense to use but they at least create the visual mood and allow the viewer to plainly see what the heck is going on. For me, being dark, and low action, means I find something else to do which takes my attention away from the screen. I haven't been drawn in enough to care.

I loved it. But this, I totally agree. It takes something away from some scenes (like the awesome hallway fight scene) when you don't have something to contrast - where everything is a dark muddiness.

All in all though, it exceeded expectations. Brilliant casting. Love that equal time was spent developing Fisk. My only fanboy regret is that I'd love to see a telling of Daredevil: Born Again, and one of the best players in the story won't be around. But there's a lot of material for Daredevil out there...

Inspired by that crappy TV movie? Nope. lol

its based on the on the 1993 comic book storyline "The Man Witout Fear," sporting an all black attire with a blindfolded head.
