Yes. My upstairs neighbour comes from Iraq. He opposed Saddam Hussein and had to flee. He is from South Iraq and he suffers knowing that his mother and brothers and other family have to live trough this.

He and his family are from the swamps, the oldest folks on the earth. I really hope his family will be okay and will survive this.

When he had to flee Iraq because Saddam his army was after him, he first went to Syria. He told me that the Syrian people were warm and welcoming and have helped him to survive. He's very sad how that region gets devestated rigth now.

Talking with him makes it all so close to home, the suffering of his family is very real. Not some abstract image on tv.

I feel blessed I got the chance to travel trough Yemen about 15 years ago. My boyfriend of that time and I visited his sister, who worked in Sanaa at the embassy. Her husband took us on a road trip and it was a great experience. It's horrible to know that such a beautiful city as Sanaa might get distroyed.

On the bright side; Las Vegas and San Fransisco are great cities to go, without the hassle of war.

I despise destruction like that! It just goes to show now dumb and uncaring people can be! Do they even understand what they have done by destroying such wonders - they should be fighting to protect these things instead they just live and breath hatred sad

Don't try to drive from Vegas to The Grand Canyon, I mean it was a fun roadtrip when me and the fam drove to Vegas from the Canyon, but it took all day. If you're renting a car, don't drive the strip, it's pointless, take the roads behind the strip casinos, hotel parking is free, so park, walk thru the casino to the strip, take a picture, go back to the car and hop to the next casino. Downtown Vegas, park (I don't remember that being free) and walk.
