Does this sound like an interesting radio station?

Ok...there was a dj in my hometown who used to be a Top 40 dj. The program director heard a tape of him mixing Top 40 songs with exclusive tracks, 12" mixes and songs that were not played on major radio stations. The program director thought that there was something to it, so she gave him his own show on Saturdays. This was on AM radio, way back in the day. Here were some of the songs from his saturday night show

December 1981

1. Luther Vandross- Dont you know that

2. Smokey Robinson- Tell Me Tommorow

3. Jones Girls- Nights over Egypt

4. Bob James- The Steamin Feelin

5. Donald Byrd- I love your love

6. Funk Fusion Band- Can you feel it

7. Fuse One- Silk

8. Rick James- Ghetto Life

9. Pictures ft Tommie Young- I'm gonna see you through

10. Count Coolout- Rhythm, Rap, Rock (??)

11. Quincy Jones ft Patti Austin- Betcha Wouldnt hurt me

12. Central Line- Walkin in Sunshine

13. Prince- Controversy

14. Diana Ross- Mirror Mirror

15. Whatnauts- Help is on the way

16. Ozone- Gigolette ft. Teena Marie

17. Powerline- Watchin you

He used to play live versions of certain songs on his show

The last thing I remember him playing was Trouble Funk

I forgot the station and the dj's name...but doesnt this sound interesting?
