Juno!!! Aka snowpocalypse 2015

How did my fellow East Coasters fair during Juno? Luckily I did not lose power but what a mess!! Three foot drifts and a whole lot of shoveling. Hopefully we won't get another one this year.

Anyway...my favorite news reporter, Doris Goldenblatt, braved the conditions to bring us this update:

lol

This is what I was shoveling last Tuesday.

Last night we got about 4-6" (judging by what was on the roof of my car) but it's hard to tell for sure b/c by the time I left for work, it was already raining.

Right now all that slushy/melting snow is freezing over due to plummeting temps.

The drive home is going to be FUN!

Oh man, be safe!

My work did not close, but I'm working from home today instead. It is way too treacherous out there for driving. It's raining here now and I have about 6 inches to shovel with more storms on the way. Over it!

My kids had no school today.

Thankfully I take backroads to/fro work...the highways were a horror story & I'm sure they'll be worse later on!

I live in RI and I think we're getting a lot of those same storms. You being from Canada, and I being from New England, should be used to this by now.

But dammit I never ever do!!!!!

Meanwhile, we've had a completely average winter here. Fairly average temps, average snowfall. The grass is showing in most places right now, but we're getting a wintry-mix tonight. Not even an inch expected, though. shrug

It's crazy!!!!!

More is on the way tomorrow, and then another possible storm on Sunday. Roofs are collapsing and the roads are horrendous. Really hard to get anything done around here.

6 more weeks till spring??? Snow won't melt till summer. I have 5 feet in my back yard now.

I feel like I am in the same place!!!! It's -20 F today with the wind gusts and I am so over it!!!!! More snow this weekend and I'm afraid the roof over our front entrance is going to cave in because of all the ice. No bueno!
