SELMA Movie Question Man, i am SO geeked to see this movie that I cannot wait until the Jan. 9th "wide release". I know they have to get in b4 a certain date for Oscar eligibility but man, i REALLY hope Detroit is on the short list for the Dec. 25th opening in addition to the obvious spots like NY and LA. Hell, they name drop Detroit in the trailer. I can't find a listing of the "selected cities" has anyone seen said list? | |

It's a must see movie! I recommend it to everyone to see. Especially those that aren't aware of what MLK did for unity. I saw it last week at a private screening with some of the cast & it was amazing..

Glad to know it's going into wide release on the 9th. My wife and i were going to go today, but couldn't find it in a theatre near us. Guess i can wait a week. |

every pivotal character - king, coretta, wallace, lbj - is played by a brit, right? no yanks up to the task, i guess?! (i'm american, btw.)
that was also the case with lincoln in a way. lincoln and the man who played gen. grant were from the uk (i think day-lewis is irish, correct?) | |
