Nothing much he can do until Amar'e & Bargnani's contracts come off the books.

Really? I've seen scrub like Joe Johnson traded with $100mil left on a contract.

Joe Johnson is a lot more valuable than Bargnani and Stoudemire, though. Amar'e is having a pretty nice season so far, which is nice to see.

I think expectations of the Knicks always seem to be set too high. Carmelo has never struck me as a superduper star - a borderline top 10 player usually (though he's probably inside of that mark in 2013 and 2014). I don't see any other player that is a top 15 starter at his position on that roster. Hardaway Jr. and Shumpert are nice young players with limited ceilings, but outside of that? Yikes.

^ Oscar at 13? No no no. Top 5 easily. He could do anything he wanted to on the court. He set the standard.

Best offensive player? Kareem, hands down. That sky hook was deadliest weapon in NBA history.

Yeah, Oscar was amazingly good. To be among the top 5, though? That's really rarefied air. What argument does he have over someone like Magic, Shaq, or Duncan? I think all of those guys may have had more success with those Cincinnati squads than Oscar did.

Oscar Robertson was an NBA Immortal - the numbers don't lie. Magic & Larry never averaged a triple-double for an ENTIRE season. Can't hold it against him that he only won one title. He dominated his position.

That sucks about Jabari Parker, done for the year with a torn ACL - shit.

As for my 5-22 Knicks, BLOW IT UP PHIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

There has 2 be quite a few teams that could use Stoudemire but I guess his salary is just 2 high 2 make it work. Dude can still play at a high level.

Rajon Rondo and Dwight Powell to the Mavericks for Brandan Wright, Jameer Nelson & Jae Crowder and a pair of draft picks.

Rondo, Ellis, Parsons, Dirk & Chandler.....nice.

I'm always amazed that folks always talk about how important defense is.....yet Pippen and Rodman are never mentioned on this type of lists. I don't get it. I'd take Pippne over Bird 7 days a week.

I think for Rodman, it was obvious because his on and off the court image was clownish, so therefore folks didn't take him seriously nor his talent.

No way is LeBron better than Larry Bird.

Bron is a mental midget and Bird is no such thing.

And another. Tonight was a rare exhibition of performance art, entitled "How to play terrible basketball: an aria in 4 quarters, by Kobe Bean Bryant".
