I liked it at first but now there's too much going on to keep up with....same thing happened with Heroes. sad

The first season of Heroes was excellent. Then it all went downhill. However, most people agree that the second season of S.H.I.E.L.D. is better than the first so far.

I just started watching again last week. I'm trying to get caught up. sad

Prince, in you I found a kindred spirit...Rest In Paradise.

Have you watched any episodes of Black Mirror? I have a feeling you'd be really keen on at least a couple of them.

What about Welcome to Sweden? That would be my #6 show of 2014.

My new favorite show of 2014 is Review with Forest MacNeill. OMG I'm glad I caught on to this late so I don't have to wait long for season 2. I laughed so hard when he had to review what it's like to eat 15 pancakes, then he had to get divorced and immediately after had to review what it's like to eat 30 pancakes.

In the UK, these spring to mind:

Gogglebox
The Missing
The Fall
Happy Valley
Line of Duty
Sherlock
BBC4 music docs
The Trews

Yeah I'm really loving The Fall at the mo, don't know anyone that watches it tho. BBC4 music docs have been great too. I subscribe to The Trews, I'm assuming u mean Russell Brands thing on utube. Haven't caught any of the others except for Gogglebox, which I saw a few times & liked the concept. That posh couple are hilarious. Intruders is a fave of mine. The ones I've liked online are 1, Coven. 2, The Leftovers. 3, The Bridge. (US) 4, The Killing. (US) 5, Extant. 6, Top of the lake. [Edited 12/9/14 18:35pm] [Edited 12/9/14 19:14pm] [Edited 12/9/14 19:15pm]

I've actually enjoyed the second series of The Fall more than the first. Gillian Anderson's character seems to have become a little more 'human' in this one. I'll have to give Intruders a try. It was one of those series that was halfway through before I really clocked it.

Gogglebox always cracks me up, particularly the old guy and his long-suffering wife. A lot of relationships in my family have been a bit like that. lol I think The Trews is a good format for Russell Brand - bouncing off of news clips and taking the piss out of the absurdities. Makes me laugh, anyway - and, for all the flack he gets, I think he's quite a thoughtful fella, and he's usually pretty much on point. (And, hell, if The Sun is gunning for you, you must be doing something right!) wink

I find her (Gillian) very watchable in it, I kind of don't want her to become too human, I enjoy the way her character doesn't explain herself, takes no prisoners & is quite mysterious

Intruders is pretty good, especially the little girl in it.

Yeah I forgot about that couple on gogglebx, he's a lovable scallywag with a twinkle in his eye still! U can see alotta love between the pair of them.

I agree with you on Russell, I think he's quite brave really.
I appreciate the little esoteric tangents he goes off on at times too.
Wish he would speak a bit slower sometimes tho.
I don't share all his views but appreciate his optimism in a revolution in his own lifetime & I like the way he doesn't change his demeanor no matter where he's at.
Him calling that reporter outside number 10 a snide was a classic example!

biggrin biggrin lol

Krysten Ritter will play the character in A.K.A. Jessica Jones, a live-action television series set to premiere on Netflix in 2015.

Other than that, I didn't hardly watch any new shows besides the morning news... I have Netflix now though, so maybe I'll watch Black Mirror.

If you will, so will I

And Orphan Black. This show is great. The lead actress is up for best actress at the SAG awards.
