Directing cred.

In only her second outing as a director Mrs. Jolie-Pitt surprised few when she hit it out of the park with her latest film "Unbroken", garnering Oscar buzz for a film that has been in development limbo since the 50's.

Madge on the other hand seems to be struggling in Hollywood ever since her first acting teacher proclaimed she would never be good as far back as 1982. What can Ms. Ciccone learn from the devastatingly talented Jolie?

Well it started out with me comparing their directing talents.

Two women that were unlikely to be given the opportunity to direct major projects. Two women who have been in the Hollywood system for a long time and who's experience has informed their directing in apparently different ways.

Odd comparison.

Another lame attempt to compare to succesfull women.

The main focus from Angelina is movies, from Madonna is music.

What's your point?

They both are succesfull, but in different areas.

So, what is there to compare?

I am neither a fan nor a detractor of either. I do like some of both of their work...but I can take it or leave it. That being said Angelina is not even in the same world as Madonna. Madonna is in a class with a very very few people. There are a few famous people that make the other celebrities say "Holy corn it's...such and so!" Well Madonna makes the majority of the "Such and Sos" say "oh wow it's Madonna!"

It's rather obvious this is about breasts, with Madonna's topless pictures being released right before this thread was created. Yes they look fake, and yes Angelina's obviously are fake. I'd still take Angelina over Madonna every time.

Madonna is a singer who sometimes acts, and Angeline Jolie is an actor, nothing more. Just cause one goes outside their profession doesn't mean they can automatically crossover. Very few have been the exception from acting to music and vice versa

Most entertainers like Prince Madonna etc aren't always the best actors for a movie role. But they are the best actors for their own musical world. Put Madonna in a video and she nails it. In her concerts, she nails it. She's the best at playing the part in photo shoots. She also has charities that she is involved in. And her 4 children 2 blood 2 adopted.

But neither are in the actual same genre/field

Digressing just a bit, speaking of parts Madonna would've been perfect for, I always wondered if her people ever tried to get her a supporting role on "The Sopranos". She could've been Carmella's cousin or something, and she would've been great.

As for this thread I know madonna isn't technically an actress, but hasn't she been involved in umpteen or more films? So her and Angelina have extensive acting histories. Both have been thrown millions of dollars their way to direct a major film. Madonna didn't click with her film. Angie did. And madonna should've clicked with her material.
