Now this story is a few months old. The father who walked in on his son being molested. And beat the shit out of the guy who did it. But i was reading the comments on this page. And there were some incredibly mixed opinions on there. About whether the father should have beat the young man or not.

Many say he himself committed a crime. And others say he should even be charged! now I'm 23... and don't have kids yet. But when i would like some in the future. I would definitely be the strong reactor in a situation like this. Some say he should have ''restrained'' the kid until the cops got there.

If i were to see my kid getting molested. To see my kid being hurt and abused like that. I would go off the deep end and break that kids bones! i mean this someone who took innocence away from your child. This is going ot affect and scar your kid forever. I would be thinking of all that horrible shit. So i would beat the fuck out of the molester without a thought.

Plus he could have a knive! or try to fight back first. At that point you just have to defend yourself.

What do other orgers think about this situation? whether you're a parent or not. What would you do?

I like to think I'd have the self composure to use only sufficient force to free my kid and subdue the assailant until the authorities arrive. In the heat of the moment, though, who knows? I've certainly surprised myself in the past with my capacity for violence, and this is about as serious a violation as it gets.

I don't really care about children, but I think you're a lousy parent if you don't try to physically harm that teen. You have no business taking the law into your own hands and castrating him or blinding him in one eye, but you should hurt him.

That's exactly what I would do, and pray for enough control not to kill him.

Beat the absolute f*** out of him and then claim self-defense.

The father did commit a crime and he should be charged. You can't just go around serving up vigilante justice.

That said, I probably would have attacked him as well, I doubt I would beat him that bad though and I'd be willing to face any charges as a result of my actions.

Protecting my child would be worth it.

what worries me is if i lost my temper, i'd kill him.... i'd go toi jail and then my child suffers more... he grows up without a dad there doing everything he can to love and support his son through his pain

Too many cops charge people acting in self-defense. He was right for reacting given the circumstances and on emotion obviously, and the cops should consider that. It's going to be bad enough if the perpetrator doesn't get a harsh enough sentence, why bring more stress on the victim and his family?

^^^^ Exactly... one can nevr really say what they would do... but IMO this is a worse nightmare case senario and I am very protective f my children. It's scary how protective I can be.
