Who else is watching this very grim season?

I'm 2 episodes behind! been a pretty good season so far though.

I knew last night's episode would end the way it did. It was only fair once Jax told Abel the truth, he in turn would tell Jax what he knew. And now that Jax knows too, these last three episodes should be what everyone has been waiting for all season.

GAAAAHHHHH!!! That episode was DRAMA!!!

I thought last week's episode was great. The scene where Nero finds out what Gemma did and the viewer doesn't hear what he's being told, but only sees the reaction on his face was excellent. I may watch it again this week since the next episode won't air until Dec. 2nd.

That truly was a fantastic bit of acting... This season is massive!!

Granted I haven't completed the last episode, but I'm getting the impression the cast is tired now.

Perhaps I'm just noticing and it's been happening all along but Charlie Hunnam's native accent seems to be slipping out on occasion over these last few episodes.

This show has been a roller coaster of love and hate for me. I should mention that I'm an Amazon Prime/Netflix watcher, not real-time cable. And, I'll admit my own life drama kicked in at one point and swayed my opinions heavily.

I loved season one and hated season two. Wasn't interested again until my cubicle neighbors got into it, then started up again. Charlie Hunam's accent has slipped a lot throughout the whole thing, not just recently. Never bothered me, but his ridiculous swagger is out of control It looks so awkward and stupid. I picture a sit-down with Tony Soprano and Heisenberg, then Jax comes walking in, throwing his shoulder into every step. Get real, "son." Jax, biker president, wears bright white sneaks, all the time. He's a biker but his sneakers are never scuffed or dirty. wtf?

Another pet peeve. Cue Gemma's lip quiver. When shit gets emotional with Gemma, her lip quivers. I can't watch it again. I noticed it in the rape scene with Henry Rollins because it was so awful, but then the quiver stuck with me and I saw it all the time. Same with her butt feel. Cue Gemma...she walks in having just wiped her hands on her ass... It's just a manufactured way of showing "down home" I guess? Like, I couldn't find a dish towel and shit's getting deep, so...wipe my hands on my ass.

Pet peeves aside, I watched a lot of plot twists for drama's sake and inconsistent characters. Most recently I saw a teenage girl retaliate against the club and despite wanting to give Charming a renewed sense of protection, Jax takes off running after her, in town, a teenage girl...then the WHOLE club goes to her father's house...as if that's not intimidating...

It's all too far-fetched for me, at this point. There's been no integrity, except to shock for the sake of drama. On top of that, I hear references of Hamlet? And Kurt Sutter wants to knock on other shows because he didn't get a nod?

I said a lot of shitty things, but I did name my dog Jax. My favs are Juice and Opie. And Uncer, he's the same guy he was in Deadwood. Did anyone watch Deadwood?

We just discussed that very thing this morning in the office. The possibilty of symbolism. I hear that Jax's sneakers finally got dirty in the rose garden. I'm not bothered by spoilers but I don't want to drop any here for someone else to read. I also got the details of a pretty hot sex scene. Going to try to find that on youtube now Oh, and everyone is buzzing about the homeless lady they keep showing...my guess is undercover law enforcement. I think Thomas, Abel and the teenage girl are going to end up growing up in the club, bound to repeat the same patterns of Gemma, Jax and Jax's father.

I don't know why anyone would open a thread about this season and not expect spoilers, but I will give a warning anyway.

Was it really necessary to kill Wayne? I thought that in an ironic way, the guy with cancer would outlive everyone else, but I guess his last words said it all in that he really had nothing to live for with Gemma dead--his cancer probably would have killed him a week later.

And with the Jax/Gemma confrontation behind us, the big series finale next week seems to be Jax paying the ultimate price for killing another club president. Jax knows this which I think is why he is sending Wendy and the boys off with Nero so they can finally get out of SAMCRO just like Tara wanted.

The finale wrapped up all the loose ends nicely, but the episode to watch was the penultimate one--kind of like Game of Thrones.

It did a good job of tying it all up but I was really disappointed in Jax's own ending... he coulda gone out larger than that...

Very emotional though, I felt it, didn't think I would but I did.

Don't like the innocent's involvement though, that's cruel to me, to put someone one minding their own business in that position. But I guess its poetry or symmetry or something.

On the final Afterword TV special, Kurt Sutter siad the homeless lady was a magical element of the show and whomever the viewer wanted her to be.

I totally didn't recognize The Shield's Michael Chiklis as the truck driver who also gave Gemma a ride in the previous episode. There were many guest star cameos this season. Malcolm Jamal Warner probably had all of two lines in his multiple appearances.

I was kind of hoping the truck driver played a bigger role than giving Gemma a ride, like he was present throughout the series or season and I just didn't notice, but I haven't seen any evidence of that.

The homeless lady had that mystical presence throughout. I didn't notice if she made an appearance just prior to a club death or not. Now, the whole Jax, golden long hair-bearded-arms opened wide imagery, along with the bread, crows and blood, it seemed so randomly thrown in, especially since that isn't the image that's been portrayed throughout the series, it's annoying on many levels to me, unless it's specifically is an shakespearean message which is highly possible. I'll take the "no greater love than to lay ones life down for their brother" theme.
