bobzilla77	This is not the Renée Zellweger I knew, this is not the Renéé Zellweger which I once had a crush on; for me, she's physically GONE I'm shocked and sad That was my reaction too. She looks good, but she doesn't look like the woman I like. Maybe when she put on weight for Bridget Jones it made her face get circular, and she's now lost those chipmunk cheeks.

Um no. I never said anything about trying to hide an illness now. What I said was, I believe she altered her eyelids...maybe she hated that she had squinty eyes,

I liked the squinty look but apparently she didn't. It gave her a sultry appearance. It's not botox or else her eyebrows would also be raised. It looks like a very well-done eyelift. It's well-done in the sense that her eyes look normal, but it's badly done in the sense that she doesn't look like herself anymore.

You don't mind being called chocolate chip, that's awesome but you have no right to tell anyone how to take being made fun of. This is classic victim shaming and is just another perfect example of how so many people have zero empathy.

The business that Ms. Zellweger's mankes many of these actress' go under the knife. In decades past leading Hollywood women film careers ended or waned down to a trickle when they hit 40. So, I'm sure Zellweger's aware she's not being considered for roles that in years past.... she would have been considered for from jump. To be very blunt, for some people the aging process is brutal... its a total transformation as the years progress. In a business where looks count and especially for women, a couple of lines and a slightly sagging face... limits the roles, the jobs they are offered.

That's about as diplomatice as I can say that. smile

I don't know a minor tuck here and there, fixing your grill, or losing some weight is always an enhancer... a postive thing. In my humble opinion, I've yet seen ANYONE who's had a facelift or plastic surgery "make-over" that didn't look like they'd been embalmed. I say go with what you have and let mother or father time do whatever. lol

I have zero empathy. Ok. No empathy for the person labeled an ASSHOLE. for making a joke about something funny that doesn't detract from miss zelweghers cuteness. She was Americas sweeheart and i think her face helped with that greatly. Someone cracks a joke about the obvious and is labeled and asshole...but I'm the one with no empathy and victim shaming.

Bullying is bullying and name calling and teasing are other things entirely. People conflate the two and its old. Its unfair for me to relate people calling me chocolate chip with people who systematically get marginalized and shamed and ostricized. Your feelings r important...sure...but if ure being unreasonable with how the world interacts with you...that on you....not the world.

There was a BIG guy on my basketball team. He was about three of us put together. He was black. And his name was Albert. WTF u think we called him? And not all the time. Sometimes fat Albert was just Albert. He was needed on out team and served his purpose and had many a positive interactions beside the negative(if u consider it that...fat Albert was cool) nickname. Were we can bullying him? No. If he doesn't like it...tough shit. Take the good with the bad. This scenario is not one of bullying.

Kids get beat, isolated, ridiculed, rallyed against and minimized, systematically. That's bullying.

People conflate the two and it keeps kids from being kids and learning natural defenses and protections... Or a world where comedians can't be comedians.

I'm sure miss zellweger was teased at some point about something that has helped her learn to deal with and maybe even find something humerous about the joke.

I dont think some internet poster running to her defense(defense from what?...a silly joke) is something necessary and her prior experiences have earned her coping skills with a world...that guess what...will NEVER be completely be in favor of u.

If you think someone calling me ugly for years is not bullying, then you don't know what bullying is. It fucked up my self-estem and continues to bother me in my adult life. When anyone now says I am attractive, I do not believe them.
