concert venues I like

Ive been to a lot of concerts in life here in LA n I think my favorite venue is the wiltern in LA. Ive never been to the Troubador. The Shrines cool. The Universal Amp at universal studios is really good to.I used to really dig The Greek ut the drive in can be a pain. The Viperroom and the Roxy get so hot inside its unbearable. The Forums ok I guess n staples is to big. Nokias nice inside.

Are you asking which venues we like/dislike, as well?

I'm from NJ, so the majority of concerts I attend are in NYC:

  • I used to hate going to Madison Square Garden. The only convenience was being able to take the train right there. But since it has been renovated, the sound is much better.
  • BB King's can be good for smaller shows, but their seating policy sucks and the food is too expensive for the "hit or miss".
  • I was sorely disappointed at the sound quality at Barclay Center in Brooklyn.
  • For outdoor venues: I absolutely loathe the PNC Bank Arts Center in NJ. I much prefer to drive all the way to Camden (near Philadelphia) to the Susquehanna Bank Arts Center; the sound and overall atmosphere is better.
I really iiked the amphitheater in Marcus Garvey Park in Harlem, tho...
  • The New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark, NJ is nice (and right near my house), but they don't have too many acts that I prefer and the older ladies who serve as ushers are bitter and rude.
  • The Prudential Center in Newark, NJ is really good... sound, food and comfort.

I've been to 100s of concerts in NJ, NYC, and PA, but these are the venues that came to mind...
