I'm getting flown out there tomorrow night for a 2 day photoshoot followed by a 4 day video shoot with my band for our new single. It's easily the biggest shoot we've done, we're lucky to have some big backing for our new record.

So you won't see much of me over the next week or so.

I'm not paying for it. We have financial backers funding the whole thing and hiring the best PR. The aim is to increase our profile enough so that our live fees increase tenfold. Also they aren't looking to recoup right away, they understand the long term vision more than any record label I've ever worked with, so we really got lucky with finding the right people.

We've done green screen for 2 of our last three videos, this one is on location or indoor set with RED cameras like they use to film The Hobbit, Thor 2, Game of Thrones, etc. So it should look amazing. I'm just going over the script/plan for it now while I take a break from packing.

Spent an abnormal amount of money on new clothes for this shoot. Ugh. But they're going all out. The hotel they're putting us up in has private pools INSIDE the suites. Madness.

You know it's crazy when record labels aren't offering you jackshit up front in advances but private investors will. That's the way the industry is nowadays.

But you know the deal. Come correct with the hits and the streaming statistics and the money comes rolling in. Whether it's from gigs, sync deals, merch. Those are the reliable streams these days since nobody is pulling in big sales figures. Hell, even U2 is giving away their album for free.
