Herbalife

The controversial 30 year company is a mystery. Is it a pyramid scheme? does it really get you millions as a distributor? is it bullshit? lol

I've tried some of their products. There's some good ingredients in some of the stuff. It CAN help aid in weight loss. If you have a good diet and workout regularly! shocker i know lol Herbalife won't aid that much in your weight loss goals. As for their protein and shit like that. it's about as good as any generic Wal Mart or CVS brand. Not horrible, but not great.

I can never befriend people who work for Herbalife. I meet a lot of them at the gym. And i respect whatever others do for work! i really do. They seem nice at first and invite you to ''free workouts'' then they bombard you why you need these products. No matter how fit you are they tell you ''you need these products! they will aid in your weight loss and muscle growth and yada yada''

I myself am a pretty fit guy. i workout 6 times a week, eat healthy when i can, and take the supplements i need. And people that were no where near as fit as me. Were telling me what i need to do for my body eek yet i'm outlifitng, out running, and out performing a lot of them. Yet they want to tell me what i should and shouldn't do for my body lol eyepop bored2

They literally talk like a damn cult and it's creepy. What are orgers opinions on herbalife? pyramid scheme? cult? has anyone tried the products?

never tried Herbalife but i like the idea of vitamin/protein compounds. i've used various supplements, never had a bad experience and usually felt better. most folks are missing enough vitamin D and magnesium in their diet. anything that boosts those is gonna be helpful.

Before you consider trying those things, consult with your medical doctor.

Challenge them to a benchpress contest. Tell them, "If you beat me, I'll try your stuff. If you don't, or if you refuse the challenge, then you have to shut up about this stuff forever".

lol i did something kind of similar. One of the guys told me this stuff will help me get more fit. I Challenged him to a little running . I beat him quite easily... he couldn't even keep up.

Then i challenged him to deadlift and bench with me. lol that was not even a contest.

I know i sound like a dick by saying all that. But i hate when someone who's not even as fit as me. Tries to not even give me advice but TELL ME what i should do for my body. eek confused lol

They also told me how awful steak is. And steak can give you cancer and clog your arteries. What can't give you cancer nowadays? sheesh.

I just happened to run into this on the internet last week!

http://www.theawl.com/201...ing-scheme

In the past, I’ve used avoidance and excuses to explain to Best Friend why I don’t want to be a part of the company. I say I’m an introvert, so I’m uncomfortable with direct sales and attending parties. I say that I have a soy sensitivity and can’t drink the shakes. I say that I get headaches from artificial sweeteners. But she still pressures me to join. Every excuse I have, Best Friend has a company-approved rebuttal. I also feel like I can’t talk about my finances or my health around her because it gives her an opening to “pitch” the company to me

I agree 100% with the advice columnist: Sometimes people need to be told to fuck off.

I was in Reading, PA last weekend, and I stayed at the hotel where Herbalife was having a convention. When I passed the conference room, their rally sounded like a church meeting omg

That's just another scam like Amway and Shaklee were (and still are) when I was a kid.

That's what I was thinking too. Just overpriced stuff that you can easily find in your local Wal-Mart.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Yeah, seemed like all the neighbors, people at work, church etc. were desperately trying to sell that stuff and ended up spending (and losing!) their own savings on it instead of making money... razz

Just like with Avon, Mary Kay, The Pampered Chef, Pleasure Parties, Cookie Lee, etc. Folks are always looking for a quick and easy buck. Perhaps it does work for people who have the natural ability to be a salesman, but it's not for the average person.

The only one I ever knew who made money in the Shaklee business, sold their "pyramid," and made a profit was my late uncle, a very charming con man. razz

I really do respect what people gotta do to hustle. But people who sell all the above products. Became a little tiresome with constantly asking you to buy something. Or always posting on facebook with new products that will ''change our life'' lol

Pleasure parties are pretty legit though right? razz i know a few female friends who went to them.
