I have never watched American Horror Story. I'm not really a Fan of the FX network. I know they have several hit Dramas but it's so far up the channel List I forget it's there. I Love Jessica Lange in anything she plays in. I do remember her winning a Best Actress Golden Globe for her role on AHS. Patti is not going to play a singer but she's playing Gabby's Mother for 4 episodes. Patti is a little old to be playing the Mom of a 20-something..LOL...You guys like the Drama?

I watched a few episodes of the first season but not much after that but I will be tuning in to see Patti!

Angela Bassett was great the last season, I can't wait to see what's been written for Ms LaBelle!

The other thought is how long can they keep writing things that are so different from each other but still written so well?

I didn't think they could top the first season and then they did.

It's an interesting show.

I saw the better part of one season (the one with the house where the doctor did abortions and there was the deformed(?) kid ghost in the attic.

I missed the Stevie Nicks episode.

Hopefully I get to see Patti.

Do you remember when Patti LaBelle had her own sit-com in the late 80's, perhaps early 90's? I think it was called "Up All Night." Could be interesting to see her play Gabby's mom.

AHS is like reperitory theater in a sense. They used the same actors (with a few new actors) each season to play different characters in a different story unrelated to past seasons.

Watching Jessica Lange is the best part of the series. BTW she won The Emmy, Golden Globe, and the screen actors guild award for her first season on AHS.

Patti joining the cast is cool. But she won't be able to offset crappy writing. Jessica and Angela couldn't last season.

I'm glad I can watch this season and not be confused..Changing the entire storyline year after year can be Genius if the plot & writing is on-point.

i had heard this show was great. i saw it being nominated for all those golden globes, so i decided to netflix the first season. i managed to get through it all, but believe me, i had no desire to go for the next season. and yet, all i've hearing about the jessica and angela season is that 'it's great, they're so great!' they almost had me again. but thanks to you two, i will stay with my original stance!

The Globes don't know shit about quality television. Some of their nominees are more ridiculous than Kevin Federline winning a grammy.

At the beginning of every season everyone raves about the new AHS then half way through people get fed up with and stop watching. But its Ryan, what do you expect, dude can never make it to home plate.

I was pleased with the first 2 seasons. The 3rd season had it's highest viewership to date.

I haven't seen season 3 yet.

Oops, she won it for Best Actress in a miniseries or movie. I guess AHS decided to submit it as a miniseries.

Kathy Bates also won for best supporting actress in a miniseries or movie. Coven was planned to have it's own spinoff series but that was probably cancelled due to the season turning into shit.

It's strange how Producers or the Networks can just throw a Drama into a category...Is AHS a freaking weekly Drama or a weekly mini-series? In my opinion a mini series is a one shot deal that tells a story over a period of time then it's done...

It's either or depending on how the producers submit it.

Each season of AHS is 1 story that ends each season.
