The first full-length movie trailer for Fifty Shades of Grey has been released today. Will the movie be as bad as the book? Stay tuned...

lol Umm okay. Don't really see anything special about it so I don't get why the media is so hyped about it. From the talks of what went on in the book and all, I got the impression that this was just a cross between "American Psycho" and "Basic Instinct"...but looking at the trailer, all I see is just 2 hours of boredom.

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

I'm going to see the movie, but I know it isn't going to be good.

The actor they selected for Grey is a terrible fit. That alone fucks the movie in a big way.
The book is also very sex centered, they are going to have water that down ALOT to get the rating
they want.

I enjoy well written erotica; the Fifty Shades Trilogy was dreadful. The books could have been use for a drinking game, I lost count on how many times the author used the word HOT. neutral

I've yet seen a motion picture that's capture, mutual sexual lust or hunger. I've seen some movies succeeded in capturing emptiness, fear of intimacy, and/or loneliness. Most movies dealing with carnal curiosity aren't made well and the chemistry between the actors are nonexistent... just boring.

Ive said it several times on this site when 50 is mentioned. You want to read some erotic/DSBM then pick up Anne Rice's Beauty trilogy.

There is no chemistry between the actors at all, and the guy playing Christian resembles a good boy next door. The hottest thing about the trailer is the Beyonce's new mix of Crazy in Love

Did you see The Fall? He was pretty good as a serial killer in it, beautiful guy yet creepy and twisted in his mind...

BDSM, isn't something anyone "introduces" you to. Unless that's something you've always been curious about or wanted to engage in; nobody introduces a virgin to BDSM. Unless you are holding her/him hostage.

Along with 50's bad writing, the premise was ridiculous.

I'll checkout the Anne Rice trilogy, thanks for the info.

I never read the books so I guess I'll pass on the movie. Its a lot hype surrounding it though. I think that makes it annoying to me, idk.

I don't know, for me the characters are too young and they're pretty much forced into. The writing seemed good, but the situation left a bad taste.

I Guess in the world of female empowerment...this is a twist. But men and women getting off from controlling or being controlled is an old ass story.

I see it's going to be a smash hit, because the news is reporting that it's trailer have already had the most views ever and the movie is several months away. So I guess it can be expected it will be practically shoved down everybody's throat on a constant basis until it shows.

Last year every woman that I know had already read this book so much so that I was curious. Then at xmas time the Barnes and Noble near me had a 3 box set for 40percent off, so I bought it. This is supposedly an SM book.

This is a romance novel with a well equipted dungeon in the background that no one really ever uses but we understand did get some use before the beautiful and virginal Ms Steele shows up. Can I say that if my daughter, who is now 12, got her hands on this novel I would pull it away so fast, NOT BECAUSE IT IS SO SMUTTY, but because it is so unrealistic and disgustingly so.

All she has to keep doing is climbing on top of him in one way or another. It isn't really any more out there then Monsters Ball. I mean she gets one really hard ass slapping in the first book but most other slaps are pretty minor.

I just really hated this book and I am still not finished with book number 2. I hated it that she basically heals Christian from his kinky desires. The fact that his name is Christian made me think that this was some sort of Christian book. Really. How to heal a rich kinky man. One very messed up by incredibly young and gorgeous BILLIONAIRE meets a virginal woman of 21 and falls madly in love with her and basically does a 180. This is every girls dream. Meet a man that has it all and completely changes because of you.

Did not like that Mrs Lincoln was a bad guy either. hmmm.

Oh, I can go on and I think I will:

Ever notice that half of the little girls want to be princesses for Halloween but non of the boys want to be a prince? Boys want to be monsters for Halloween. No boy wants to be somebodies Christian Grey billionaire. The type of guy that does, does not want just one Anastasia Steele. Sorry but those super duper type "A" personalities tend not to be monogamous.

Of course there is Bill Gates, who like Christian, has Billions and not mere millions. NOTICE LADIES, he does not look now or when he was young like Christian. HONESTLY, Bill looks more like the type that would want a whipping vs one that would want to give it. These stupid stories of Gorgeous, monogamous, mansion owning, millionaires, who are also under 30 yrs old make me want to scream. Of course they are single because they haven't met your pure mind and heart yet.

These stories are just as stupid as men's magazines with photoshopped women in them. The ladies who manage to have double D breasts that do not hang and washboard abs, and of course they too are single and just looking for a "regular nice guy".

'Fifty Shades of Grey' to Be Challenged by Faith-Based Romance

'Fifty Shades of Grey' to Be Challenged by Faith-Based Romance

By Dave McNary

Freestyle Releasing, which generated strong grosses for God’s Not Dead, is offering up a challenge next Valentine’s Day to Fifty Shades of Grey with faith-based romance Old Fashioned.

“I wanted to tell a love story that takes the idea of Godly romance seriously,” said Rik Swartzwelder, writer-director and lead actor. “A story that, without apology, explores the possibility of a higher standard in relationships; yet, is also fully aware of just how fragile we all are and doesn’t seek to heap guilt upon those of us that have made mistakes.”

Swartzwelder plays a former frat boy and Elizabeth Ann Roberts will portray a free-spirited woman. The tagline is “Chivalry makes a comeback.”

“Opening the same weekend as Fifty Shades, there’s definitely a David v. Goliath comparison,” Swartzwelder said. “They will have more screens, more money, more hype … but we’re hopeful that we are not alone in our belief that there are others out there who desire more from love–and the movies–than objectification or domination.”

God’s Not Dead topped $60 million earlier this year, representing by far the highest gross for any Freestyle release. Co-president Mark Borde asserted Old Fashioned is the first faith-based theatrical release to specifically target the “underserved” Christian singles audience.

Producers are Swartzwelder’s Skoche Films, Nathan Nazario of Motion Picture Pro Studios, Dave DeBorde and Nini Hadjis. The film also stars Dorothy Silver, Tyler Hollinger, Lejon Woods, Nini Hadjis, Maryann Nagel and Joseph Bonamico.

The announcement comes four days after Universal debuted the fi...Shades” trailer, featuring several sex and bondage scenes with Dakota Johnson (pictured above). Fox is also releasing its Poltergeistreboot on Valentine’s Day weekend.
