My understanding is that Lebron gave himself that name. Not sure if that is fact or fiction.

I think he named himself that.

Many of these Lebron haters talking shit inline have zero knowledge of basketball.

Everyone has the right to their own opinion including people that you characterize as "haters". Did you ever think that maybe people don't like him because of his arrogance, disrespectful attitude towards real legends like Jordan and how easily he throws teammates and teams under the bus? Sometimes people don't "love" a player based on stats....

At least know something about the game (and its history) - the basketball knowledge of many Lebron haters couldn't fill a fucking thimble. Opinions not based on facts are pointless and laughable to me.

Arrogant? Disrespectfu? Sounds like Jordan, who was brutal to his own teammates (go ask Steve Kerr). I was at plenty of those Knick-Bulls games during the 90s. Jordan was one of the biggest crybabies I ever saw if a call didn't go his way - shit, he whined more than Kevin McHale.

UPDATE - according to WFAN. the Cavs are considering including Wiggins in a deal to get Kevin Love.

Well, Jordan isn't exactly a saint, Seventeendayze. I tend to agree with that. From what I've heard, he can get really funky, and the amount that he charges these young kids on Air Jordans ain't helping none, too nod lol

I never have and never will say he's a saint. His silence on issues that affect the black community is pretty bad as well. I'm just saying Lebron will never be in Jordan's league.

No one here ever said that. There are only four players who are on Jordan's level - Wilt, Russell, Kareem and Oscar.

You won't find many knowledgeable basketball fans on FB, that's for sure. I stopped going to the Knicks official fan page because I couldn't take it anymore. Fools there actually believe Carmelo Anthony is better than Lebron.

I think the problem with Lebron "fans" is they think he's the second coming and hate people who aren't drinking the Kool-Aid. There's nothing wrong with thinking he's an overrated jerk. Anyone can feel that he will never measure up to Jordan, especially at this point in his career. Stop being so negative because someone dares disagree with you. The Org seems to have an abundance of negativity sometimes.

^ In many cases (whether it's sports or music), fan is short for 'fanatic'.

I'm not a 'fan' of Lebron James (unless he becomes a Knick), but I don't have to be a fan of a particular player to appreciate and respect their greatness. In my 40-plus years of following the NBA, I've never seen a cat that size do the things Lebron can do on the court. The closest was Magic at 6' 9"/225. But Magic couldn't defend like Lebron can. And I'd never compare Lebron to Michael Jordan - it's stupid anyway. They play different positions and have different styles. The dude you compare Jordan to is Kobe - both SGs and scoring assassins. Together with Jerry West, they're the top 3 SGs in NBA history.

And if Lebron is an arrogant jerk, so what? I could say that about most pro athletes, Jordan and Kobe included. Many of them aren't the nice guys they appear to be in public - that's just what they allow you to see. Means jack shit to me - all I care about is performance on gameday. Besides, ego is what got these cats to where they are in the first place.

I feel ya. Saying 'fuck lebron James' is just a knee jerk emotional response. Which implies he's good cuz I'm taking the effort to reject him. He's damn good tbh...its undeniable. Greatest? Hell to the naw! King, Awesome? I unno? That's all so difficult to Judge and somewhat subjective to an extent. Who's he got to play with, who's he playing against, the mood of the league, rule changes, changes and trends in officiating. A team today cant get away with how the Daly pistons ran their show. Its a bit of a 'pussier' game today some say. Also with a lack of comparable counterparts, easier for him to appear exceptional. But I don't know for sure. There's SOOOO many variables. Its all just my two cents tho. All that said...

Fuck lebron James...

lol

..also...as of the last couple seasons....Fuck Kobe...says the lakers fan.

^ You're talking about the Daly Pistons - shit, go back even further. Tommy Heinsom, Jerry Sloan, Norm Van Leir, Dave Cowens, Paul Silas, Dennis Awtrey, Maurice Lucas - those mfers should be arrested for what they did to opposing ballplayers. The NBA was more of a man's league before David 'Spin Doctor' Stern pussified things, mostly because of the Bad Boys and Riley's Knicks.

Nowadays you can't touch wing players anymore (same with wide receives in today's NFL). BobGeorge, can you imagine what George Gervin, Dr. J, David Thompson, Dominique Wilkins or even a young Michael Jordan would do in today's NBA?

They would either OWN it... or be fined enough to make the game unaffordable for them to play. lol most likely they would be be suspended for months or seasons...within a month of the season starting.

Put lebron in the '82-'87 finals and bruh might not ever reach the paint.

Remember Kevin McHale clotheslining Kurt Rambis in the '84 Finals?

Walt Frazier once said he would have bruises on his arms after playing that tough Bulls backcourt of Sloan and Van Leir. Shit was no joke back then. None of this 'matador defense' crap.

At the end of the day, Lebron left Miami because he was humiliated by being crushed by the Spurs. Since the Spurs will probably be a really tough team for the next few years, he probably knew the chances of him losing again like that were pretty high. At some point, pride really does become the main motivator for some of these guys. If he would have went to another team and then kept losing his whole "King James" schtick would have been dead in the water. This was simply a move to save face by saying he always knew he wanted to go back to Cleveland. Give me a break. lol

You can't begin to be serious especially after it was
shown on tv that a couple of years ago after a game he said
there was a possibility he could come back to Cleveland. I dont get your whole save face angle. Also there is no guarantee that the Spurs will go to the finals again next year and there was no complete guarantee that Miami would make it to the finals even if he stayed.

I agree. It seems he's accomplished much of what he wanted to accomplish. I dont think its out of spurs fear either. Duncan himself is leary of the team making it to the finals next season. He eluded to, or stated as much in a post game interview on the court of the winning game, kids on lap. I dont see any of lebron actions being born out of fear or shame. Dude was born in Ohio...he wanna go back home. It would also mean a lot for his career if he was able to lead an unproven team to the finals or win a championship. Cavs currently have none. Sounds like a challenge..not saving face. This is just honesty coming from someone who will say FUCK lebron James any day of the week.

You didn't pick a fight with the person who said F--- Lebron James, so why are you bothering me? This guy wouldn't have left Miami if he would have won a third consecutive championship and to think otherwise is just plain stupid. I have nothing else to say to you or any more on this subject. First of all I didn't pick a fight with you I was just responding in a civil manner to a statement you made that had no merit. It does not bother me one cent that you don't like LeBron but just like others have told you are making blanket
statements that have no merit. As far as BobGeorge comments why should I get mad
because he said fuck LeBron. He's not a LeBron fan and doesn't care for him but he isn't making off the wall blanket statements about him and realizes he is the best
player in the game. Hell Uptown,Cerebus, and myself have made it clear we were not Miami Heat fans so you can keep that LeBron buttkissing shit to yourself. I never bought the LeBron jersey and never will. I'm a diehard Sixers fan but I can appreciate LeBron's talent as a basketball player objectively without saying stupid shit. I was trolling you? GTFOH. Don't give yourself that much credit. I would troll Ciara's dirty draws before I troll you loser.

No bob she was aiming that bullshit at me. It's all good though. We had the same problem with another female orger last season. It wouldn't surprise me at all if they both are the same poster making the same idiotic statements. We will just keep the conversation limited to knowledgeable basketball fans. I appreciate your candid honesty and objective. I say fuck Tom Brady all day lol but I would never make the idiotic statement that he is overrated or isn't deserving of arguably being the best qb in the game. Brady or P.Manning take your pick.
