How old do you feel?

So...after the age of 40, I not only find it hard to remember what my exact age is (forty-something is good enough for now, thank you), but I also am having a hard time coming to terms with the fact that I'm a forty-something old dude.
grandpa

Inside, I'm still young. It's like a part of me still thinks that I can do all of the things that I could do when I was 20-something with no consequences.

THEN the physical reminders of my age are like a slap in the face (just ask dJJ how sore I was after biking around with her all day).

I would say that even though I'm clearly a 40-something old dude, with kids and gray hairs, inside I still feel 27.

Don't know why, but that's the number that sticks in my mind. Maybe (subconsciously) it relates to the age I was when I first became a dad. shrug

Regardless...I am going to say that I feel 27.

What about you, fellow Orgers?

How old do you FEEL?

I feel 41 and i am 41, i love this age and i don't consider it old or young.

Besides that i have to work harder at the gym i don't feel much differt bodywise.

Mentally i feel at my best at this age, much more relaxed, so this is a great age.

(this could all changce next week when i'm dying to be young and fresh again!)

I pretty much feel like my age. I don’t quite feel 40, but then I’ve got a year left till I hit that.

I’m in decent shape, but I get aches and pains I didn’t get before. And that’s OK. I actually eat better and exercise more than I ever did as a young person. I quit smoking about 6 years ago too.

I definitely don’t feel like a 20-something. I know I can’t party all night and I generally don’t want to. I like going to bed at a reasonable hour. I could totally rant about kids these days with their bad music and sad fashion (normcore, for real?) but I usually don’t.

There are so many things I’ve learned since my wayward youth, so many ways I’ve grown and changed, I really don’t want to go back. I knew I’d feel that way about my teens, but now I definitely don’t want to go back to my 20’s.

Yeah, feeling good at 39, feeling like it fits. It doesn’t hurt that I still get asked for ID when out with friends for drinks, even when they don’t get asked, like has happened 3 times in the last few months.

I'm 18. I feel, look and act like a 12 year old.

I find it quite funny when people I meet who are younger than me ask me what school I attend and I'm just like "This again....I'm in university m8".

I am 55 and feel about 35 physically. I feel much younger than that in terms of enthusiasm, outlook, etc.

Today, or in general?

Today, I feel every bit of my age (46+). End of school stuff wearing me down... pout
In general, I feel like someone in her mid-30s. I have the money to do what I like, and can still enjoy myself to the fullest. wink

The other day I was asked my age and without even thinking, I said I was 34. Then I had to correct myself. I'm 36.
Generally I feel younger. I have the brain of a 19 year old, but the ability to cook, clean and look after my family like an old housewife.

age is relative. i've known old folks who are fit, active and much brighter than my 30-40 year old buddies. imo it's lifestyle choices that determine age. if you eat well, exercise and rest enough you feel younger

Sometimes I feel about 10, sometimes I feel about 110....a lot of the time I feel like both simultaneously.
I am 40, most people are surprised, they say I don't look my age. I heard that a lot throughout my 30's.
I think I look my age but them again I don't know what people expect 30-40 yr old's to look like. grandpa

We're older than we think. A LOT older. What we consider our "age" is nothing more than how many times we have been around the Sun biggrin

I just turned 31 last Saturday, but I feel like I'm a lot older. VERY older.

A few years younger than what I am, I guess.

A few days ago I woke up in the morning and couldn't remember how old I was (I'm 35). I thought I must have been 55. All these thoughts how I've had so many missed opportunities by this point were going through my head, so I felt a whole lot older.

Physically, I'm not quite caught up to my actually age yet. But I can tell if I give it the chance it will run up and attack my ass with a quickness. I don't look my age, though. I got carded a few months ago and honey I am nowhere NEAR my twenties. lol

Mentally its a strange dichotomy. I've always been "older" than most of my friends in that regard, but lately I find that I'm more aware of all things younger than the people I associate with around my age.

Expressing both of those, the mental and the physical, is where the real issue lies for me. I recently started hanging with a younger crowd again and I'm not quite so old as to have it be weird, or creepy. Even though I can almost see it from here. lol

But the thing is, it FEELS good. I feel good. So I guess if I had to put a year on it I feel, what? Thirty. Ehh, thirty-five maybe. Not too far from my actual age, really.

You're almost 100!" lol Kids neutral Another was that I was talking to this dude and he said I was "hot for an old chick". I was like :

My dad told me that 35 was a turning point age. Because 15 years ago you were 20, and 15 years from now you will be 50.

I am 39 and most of the time I feel 15 because I tend to be very insecure and many things scare me. Funny thing is that many of my acquaintances have told me that some of my best traits are my confidence and my assertiveness falloff I guess I can fake it well. I'm in great shape right now, have a head full of hair and still have no wrinkles, so most people guess my age to be younger than 30. I have a hard time accepting that this will change eventually and that sooner or later I will just look older. neutral
