One reason the org is moving slow as of late may be due to all the natural weather related disasters that have been destroying homes, businesses and affecting the overall economy for the everyday people. Not to mention huge fires that are wiping out many communitues.

I often wonder when certain orger's participation becomes dormant, if it's because of the afore mentioned.

Herman assuming the position Anyway, the tameness of the invasion just illustrates how REALLY tame one of the absinthe forum invasions would be. People arguing about which absinthe is real and refusing to get good and plastered because that is beneath them. Anyway, amongst youse singletons, you only got yourselves to blame for not hooking up with each other

I hate it when my org friends on Facebook mention the org in their posts because I like to keep both networks separate from each other. I also dislike it when people who are dear to me still think of the org as the place that drew us closer to each other, and I know several people who think that way. While it is true that the org brought us together, I´d rather not "cheapen" our friendships by reducing them to "org buddy/music forum/Prince fans" level because all of them mean so much more to me than just that.

This being said, I am very thankful for Ben for creating this wonderful place that brought together so many wonderful people, including longterm friendships and marriages.

And regarding your comment.....I have no idea why those people have to talk bad about the org all the time. I know some of them and like them so much but their dislike for the org in general and for Prince in particular is ridiculous.

Like my good friend Stymie always says, the org is what you make it.

And Facebook can be boring and stupid, too. Or interesting and informative , depending on how you use it.

And don´t get me started with all those folks who leave this place and keep coming back under new monikers. It´s cool when Dan does it because we´re used to it by now, and some do it because they create alternative, funny online personalities, but it´s sad to know that there are people on here that I used to get along with so well, and now I can never be sure whether they are still here, probably under a different name, and maybe I´m argueing with those new monikers or personas.

Facebook is a whole different animal though, that´s why I never understood that thing about "They left and are on FB these days...." . I often keep both tabs open for both websites.

FB can be very cool depending on what you get in your newsfeed, what you "liked" etc. etc.

The best way to boost activity would be more sex threads, less censorship, more NSFW stuff, less moderation, less banning. The way I see it, it´s mostly grown folks here anyway, and the younger ones are in their late teens, and there´s way more dangerous stuff on other forums out there, so the strict moderation here is something I dislike. I´ve been on the org since day one, since the black and purple days, and I enjoyed it much more when there was hardly any censorship.
