I just hope that HBO doesn't do what Starz and Showtime did with Camelot and The Borgias...just cancel with no finale and leave everyone hanging. I watched both and didn't even realize they'd been canceled until I was hooked. mad mad I know, I know...I've read the real history of the Borgia family and know the story of King Arthrur...but damn...to just cancel it with no ending? Money talks I guess. shrug mad Many people signed petitions to bring back The Borgias but you know, the viewers don't matter in the end. confused

I think Hudson posted an article stating HBO wants to do at least 5 seasons, something about shows getting stale after 5 seasons, maybe they'll do 7. The problem Martin hasn't finished the series of books yet, I've just started the 5th book which doesn't end the series, so there's still book 6 to be written AND the tv show split book 3 into 2 seasons already (making 4 seasons already). Maybe they're thinking about splitting book 4 to slow down enough to let Martin get book 6 out, BUT even then will that conclude the story? shrug Here's hoping dude doesn't pass before he ends the story.

Oh I know I read that HBO guaranteed at least 5 but Showtime also promised 4 of The Borgias and reneged on that. Even with all the fans they didn't give a damn.

Martin has already dicussed how the books end with the show runners and they most likey will end the series before Martin finishes the books.

From what Im reading is that the producers didn't see this as rape.

You may be right. After watching it twice more it does appear that she's not really protesting that much and with their history it may have happened before with their romantic power struggles. confused Also, I'm not forgetting about her "symptoms" and maybe she didn't 'want' Jaime because she didn't want him to catch whatever she had. razz

Well, not too much action tonight but still a pretty good episode. Fell in love again with my cutie Jon Snow love love2 horny

Love how Jaime is taking Tyrion's side....."the kingslayer brothers" has a nice ring to it lol

Will Bran and Jon finally reunite next week or will something devastating happen?

Is Arya taking lessons from the Hound, or is she still trying to kill him? lol

Urgh, that Littlefinger makes my skin crawl. He's such a snake. But he does make for an interesting storyline, so carry on.... popcorn

That Orlenna Tyrell is just as hilarious as she wants to be!!! ohgoon

I'm sure Tommen can't wait to get a piece of Margaery's punanny. That woman sure knows how to seduce well.

Can someone shoot an arrow through Cersei's head already? Urgh.

So since Jaime has sent Brienne off to find Sansa to keep her safe, does this mean he'll never see her again? Is that what those looks between them were about? I want to interpret it as an enormous amount of respect they have for one another as opposed to interpreting it as a romantic crush they are leaving behind. Is anyone else interpreting it differently?

And finally, Khaleesi is gaining an even BIGGER army. My gosh is she up to about 50,000 or more men by now? Either way, when the BIG WAR goes down, I'll be sitting in front of the TV waiting.... popcorn

First time I've seen this many departures from the books. Looks like large chunks are going to be altered. I think Jaime giving Brienne Oathkeeper and their mutual respect for each other is the only thing staying true. Oh and the overall slave revolt kind of stayed true, sorta. I wonder if there's going to be an eventual parting of the ways between the show and the books since book 5 left so many cliffhangers not even Daenarys' position is safe and there's 2 more books to go?

They are not going to cancel it. It's the second most watched drama on TV in adults 18-49 after The Walking Dead, and that doesn't included on demand and encore airings. Ratings for Camelot were disastrous and The Borgias suffered severe declines during it's last season due to competition from GoT. Simply put, this is the biggest cash cow in HBO history.

The show has to go at least 8 seasons. Seasons 3 and 4 cover the third book. Books 4 and 5 will have to be combined because they are parallel. If they finish the show before book 6 and 7 are released doing only one season for each that will be 8 seasons.

Hi all!!! wave

So we have another sort of slow moving episode last night. What I wouldn't give to see an intense battle. The fight with the Night's Watch was like a mini battle to me...still enjoyable to watch, but I want to see another epic fight like the Blackwater battle.

Anyway, as always, love seeing my cutie Jon Snow. love love love Looks like the only heartfelt reunion we saw was the one with Jon and his direwolf. I really wanted Jon to see Bran but I guess we'll have to wait yet another season or two before seeing that happen.

And speaking of waiting another season or two, that's the same amount of time we'll have to wait to see Khaleesi conquer Westeros too...urgh. Probably won't see that until the final season.

Thank God Locke has been eliminated! bananadance

What do you all think about crazy Aunt Lysa? Talk about coo-coo for cocoa puffs.

That Petyr Baelish is one manipultive prick isn't he?

Oh well, can you believe that we are halfway into the season already? Only 5 more episodes left. Time flies....until we'll have to wait yet another year for the next season. pout

I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

The fact that, according to the show, Littlefinger and Auntie are responsible for a lot of this mess. Ed Stark would still be at Winterfell, maybe, Rob would have never went to war, of course Sansa would still be betrothed to Joffery and he'd most likely would still be alive, Jon would still be dealing with the Others at the Wall, so I guess you have to weigh the pros with the cons.

Believe me or not, Aunt Lysa was my most hated character the whole time (I hate her ever more than Joffrey), I just despise her, ever since she welcomed her sister and held Tyron as a prisoner I fucking hated her, and her son's attitude gives me cancer..

Guys, come to think about it, Joffrey was a good guy... He was bad actually, it's just... No one knows how does it feel when you rule 7 kingdoms and you're a teenager whose father and mother share the same blood & flesh.... Plus, he was sadist ever since he was born... That's his thing... Don't blame him for killing clowns and shit, nobody blamed Lord Stark when he killed people for just wanting to help.

God, if Joffrey had lived he would stick a 15th century kickstand in each of his mother, James, his wife and her grandmother's eyelids, I'm sure he'd be ready to kill the whole fucking Westeros to feel better... fucking Joffrey... miss him.

Joffery was a sociopath, who didn't know Jaime was his father, he was simply a bad mentally ill seed who would have been a disaster, maybe Jaime would have had to kill him too, who knows. Ed Stark, had a high standard of honor which he definitely lived by, come hell or high water. Lysa has a lot of issues, mostly stemming from her jealousy of Catherine.

Yep. nod "Catherine was fat...Catherine liked sweets...yadayada."

Lysa is a nutcase. Sansa better watch out. Does Littlefinger know what he's gotten himself into?? lol I know everyone who's read the books knows but I haven't and maybe the writers will switch up things to keep it interesting for those who have read them.

Lysa's son is creepy as hell. Cersei is being much too nice so she's up to something evil. razz

Littlefinger don't do nothing that don't benefit Littlefinger, Littlefinger ain't in love therefore he ain't blind. We'll see where the writers go from here. As far as the little boy is concerned I'm wondering is she still breast feeding him, that creeped me out, I'm guessing nature would have run it's course and things would have dried up. It sure wasn't helping him.

Those wolves are adorable. I was hoping at least Summer and Ghost would see each other.

Cersi's got Tyrion on lockdown so she's finally rid of him, she's trying to impress her father with how smart she is since he said what he said, she's basically his only true "heir" now, I guessing here more or less.

Right, but little does Cersei know, Tywin already has a plan in place and all that "impressing" she's trying to do isn't going to amount to much....Tywin see's right through it. Cersei is no idiot true, but I've said it once and I'll say it again, Tyrion is more like Tywin than Cersei and Jaime, just without the ruthlessness.

absolutely, a man as ruthless as Tywin will spot her trying to trick him into sth before they even know it. He'll know how to bend this situation to his benefit.

Also I don't think Cersei bought Margaery's 'I havent't even thought about it' act. They both must know they play on the same level.

Finally, Cersei's shining moment.

- She pulled a swerve on Margaery, who clearly was spooked after their Last Little Talk (and no Queen of Thorns at her back). For now, she's convinced Margaery -- and maybe herself -- that Margaery is the best thing for Tommen moving forward.

- For the first time, she was open about her true feelings on Joffrey.

- For the first time, she held her own with Tywin.

- She seemingly disarmed the Red Viper.
