I dont get the fascination with Godzilla that hollywood has to remake it every decade.

What's there NOT to love about a guy in a rubber suit squashing model-sized versions of Tokyo? (At least, that's the fascination with the original movies)

I remember in 3rd grade in Cub Scouts getting excited that a Godzilla movie was coming on and talking with the other boys about it, and there was that one boy that frowned and said "Godzilla is stupid". It was the first time I thought about the concept of maturing tastes making certain things seem stupid.

Despite the primitive spfx, 'Gojira 1954'(not the butchered American version with Raymond Burr) was a dark, serious, sad film about the dangers of nuclear power.
